I vote oak mountain as center of the state.

but oak mtn is a sweet place.

 

.308 is best in a bolt gun. Nothing wrong with 5.56 round in the AR platform. A lot of folks hunt deer with 5.56. AR is a fighting gun, with more rounds, means more fire superiority.

Not to mention hand gun ammunition always goes missing when there’s a pandemic. Good luck finding .308

 

Exactly. It’s not a good time to buy an AR platform, unless you want to pay way over price. I bought one of mine over 10 years ago for around $700 and built one for around $500. Look to spend at least $1200+ on an AR during these uncertain times.

 

Maybe, but I haven't saw any in stores. I asked academy they said the day they get trucks it's like black Friday. People running in that store to buy their supply lol.

 

My vote counts for 1000, because woodstock is better than huntsville. Citys suck

 

I agree I like the country better, but quality of life is pretty great in HSV.

I don't see Woodstock listed as one of the best places to live...

 

I own a Daniel Defense M4V5 with Trijicon MRO. DD is a great company and make great weapons. I really want a M4A1 but, I have a Colt M4 so not sure how many AR’s a person really needs. I guess as many as you have room for in the safe.

 

basically when this whole fiasco is over just keep a box or two extra of the ammo you like to shoot most of all.

 

I'm not either, but I'll probably just buy one of those 250 round crates of 380, 9mm, and 45 next time.

That way if friends want to set up the targets at the house I'm not going out of my way to get my ammo.

Woodstock is small and quite. Just the way its supposed to be.

 

Went home for lunch and Amazon goodies showed up. Also $150 dollars worth of oil

There are 4 people in my family so....

 

I bought in bulk last time so I would have on hand. Also, purchase separate for target practice that way I don’t get into my reserves. In the end you never really get to a point where you ever have enough.
