I loved Spice Tree when I tried it recently. unfortunately, couldn’t find it anywhere. I’ve never had anything Ardbeg, but have always wanted to try it. He did find a great deal though in a place I would’ve never thought would have this stuff

There’s thousands of whiskeys but it’s hard to do better than a glass of Buffalo Trace. Moderately priced, wont break the bank, smooth, Good taste, neat or with ice, Damn I look forward to that at the end of a long day.

All is true. Probably the best damn Bourbon there is under $30.
My only problem is finding it. It's on allocation in North Carolina. I can usually find 1-2 bottles a month if I'm lucky.

same distillery but eagle rare is slightly better imo, $2 more than Buffalo Trace

Bottle swap could solve some allocation issues

Eagle Rare is not all that "rare" in NC. I normally can find it. Funny thing is I actually prefer the BT over it. I think Eagle Rare aging for 10 years smooths it out a little too much.

You wanna try another Buffalo Trace Distillery undercover product? Try John J. Bowman SB.

If we're talking bang for buck, OGD 114 for under $20 is da best.

have almost the whole bowman line up in the cabinet

Their single barrel is the same juice as Blantons, buffalo Trace actually distills it and ships it to Virginia

I've not heard of that yet. Quick search shows none near me, but there's plenty at my parent's local ABC store in VA. Might have to have them pick one up and ship one to me...

The Toki or the gin? Toki is everywhere and I see the gin is somewhat common.

Both and not common in my area.

I live out in the boonies so I dont get much search time and search options.

And Id rather not order online because I've had issues with shipping fragile items.

Keep your eyes open for this. It's a 4 year Willet they only sell once every 5 years under the original 'Speakeasy' name through one of their psydoneum 'distilleries' to keep the trademark name active. Around $35 . I stumbled across a bottle in socal and had to do a lot of research to find out anything about it. I need to kill a few bottles before opening this...will report back when I do. I figure if Willet 4 year rye is at least $50 and is fantastic, this 4 year Willet bourbon should be good too20200724_113417.jpg .
