Hey Guys, i bought a 2019 Tacoma OR last year and i am noticing a clunk when i drive over a few bumps. i hear it coming from the rear driver side, and i am thinking it is my drivers seat. as I adjust the seat i can feel the play in the level, and it doesn't fully lock down.

Another issues is my brake pedal makes a squishing noise like if there is air in the lines, anyone else running to these issues or have fixes? or is it going to be a trip to the dealer type of thing.

the truck only has about 7k miles as of now.

At only 7k, id just take it to a (good) dealer

no idea on the seat. maybe the frame is broken.

my OR brakes are pretty firm. That “squishing” noise has something to do with it being a hydraulic brake booster

hmm i had a rental truck for about a month and didnt experience any of the issues i am having. So is it common for a hydraulic brake booster to make that sound. i wouldnt call my brake pedal firm at all.

i am going to take the truck in tomorrow morning and have them take a look at it.

    It was an OR?

Have you examined the seat mounting hardware?

Whoops. Never mind. See you'll be using your warranty. Good call.

yea it was an OR also, another note the one i rented shifted a lot better, and felt like it had more acceleration. this was in Florida, i am not sure if the cali version is weaker due to being big babies in cali

These transmissions learn too, and i can almost guarantee that rental truck is flogged everyday, therefore it’s likely to be more responsive.

Hard to say what your noise is via text, ya know? Dealer is your best bet, bon chance

Every now and then my seat doesn't lock in ifi move it. When that happens if i shift my weight abruptly then it will click in.

(Tried to put space between if and i but it won't do it, smart phones dumb)

The sound the brakes are making is normal on an OR.

My passenger seat hadn’t locked in fully before and make a similar sound so check all your seats front and back to see if that resolves it!

I have the same with my passenger side seat. If I move it I just give it a quick shove forward/backward to get it to lock in.

Regarding brake pedal, mine does the same thing and haven't had any issues. I have thought about bringing it into the dealer but I haven't had the time yet.

I have the same issue with my brake pedal on my 2019 OR. It sounds like there is air in the line randomly. Good to hear this is "normal".

Heck, my 2020 rides so harsh at times i feel the seat or something will break. I cannot recall any of my old toyota 4x4 pickups of decades past ride so stiff. When i hit a sharp bump in the road the shocks sometimes are not compliant causing the rear wheels to lose contact with the roads surface. Imo, the rebound dampening of those shocks are not calibrated as well as other vehicles owned.

The OR Booster is electric so there really should not be a whoosh of air like sometimes with a vacuum booster.

With 7K miles - I'd certainly take it in. Even if they say it is nothing you have it documented that you believe it is something. My truck - 2019 TRD OR - does not have these 'issues' (I've got 66K miles). Good luck to you.

Do you have a power rear sliding window? If so, mine makes a rattle when it is open and I go over a bump. Some suggest it is the window motor but I've never taken the back seat apart to investigate.

I have a 19 OR and when I was on a trail yesterday I noticed a clunk (driver side rear) when I hit large bumps. I’ll have to check my seats now, but I could have swore it was coming from under the car, and considered something was off when i installed my sliders. I have 33” mounted

Check your spare tire. Make sure it is fully raised and secure.

I had the exact same issue with my seat. Dealership replaced the frame and it's been good ever since. I'm at like 25500 miles, had the seat frame replaced at maybe 15000 ish

I've had the creaky squeeky hiss sound when I step on the brakes since day one. I have had my truck serviced every 5000 miles. No apparent problems. I guess it normal
