Should have picked the upper end, you'd have heard the same thing and they'd come back in the middle

The hireing manager told me what I threw out is the upper end. I already did a pre negotiation yesterday with him (I used to work with him at a previous job).

Hahaha I chased money at my previous job and was miserable. Saying that I want a pimp house for my wife and a nice shop for my shit, so that's my basis for this one!!

Without knowing all the details I'd be pissed about having talked about a range throughout the process then being told a number in the middle is too high this late in the process :notsure:

If its like every other HR dept I've dealt with, its different people that aren't talking to each other.

Yup!! Typical big company BS would be my guess. I asked the hireing manager like 4 times "it really pays THAT for THAT area?" Really? Sign me up!!

HR is completely useless in just about any circumstance.

This recruiter has been pretty cool though.

Its true! They don't know enough about the positions their hiring for usually - especially when it comes to technical qualifications.

Recruiters are really hit or miss. One of them signed me up with a phone interview with a company, didn't say which one. I asked which, he didn't respond, but I figured it out through google. They had one position they were hiring for was in a totally different area of expertise. I ended up on the phone interview because neither HR or the recruiter were answering questions. I basically just flat out told them at the beginning of the call that there's no way I can pull off the thing they wanted in the timeframe they needed ( a complete LIDAR system from the ground up in 6 months....lol), they thanked me for not bullshitting them, then we just chatted a bit and went our separate ways. Oddly enough, I never heard from that recruiter again .

Thank you, guys. KW, that's a perfect example of natural vs. unnatural/forced position for suspension movement.

The bottom line is that I value this group's opinions the most, regardless of the type of Toyota or vehicle.

I'm sure that's how this will go, I'm just anxious to tell Illinois to fawk off and then pack 10years of deferred house maintenace into a week before I list this place.

Our HR department is a one lady show and she is kinda...odd.

She's one of those people that walks s u p e r s l o w l y...We have a pretty big building especially for how small the company is nowadays, and if you get stuck walking behind the HR lady trying to go from one end to the other...it'll take you a half hour. It's the worst. You'd think she was hourly or something
