They come in a 6sp too. Hidden gems I love V10’s. Also the bearing issue isn’t all that important if you use the right oils and add some other special lubricant for them. Brother in law has a E90 M3 which he had the rod bearings done on too and even then it isn’t that expensive of a job just to do it to be safe. He also told me to just always warm it up before you drive off as most of the bearing damage comes from the oil not being to temp and viscosity

All I read was roar. Like the roar of an exhaust while your main bearings spin.

 

Meh......it looks like something I’d be smacking my hand on constantly. 2 thumbs down.

 

Just an option for those not wanting to replace their pillar covers for the Lotek.

 

Looks like it would be wobbly hanging from only an m6 bolt.

 

Not really to either of these observations. My son installed their UltraGauge mount in his 1st Gen a couple of months ago. The pic doesn't depict placement very well, but he's having no issues bumping it and really likes not having to screw with UG's flimsy mount. This one is well-made and solid.

 

Doesn't look clean imo.

 

I think most gauge installs are unsightly but that’s just the way it is. Why I went with PLX to a phone. My sisters dude uses it connected to a tablet on his 9 sec civic. Figured it would be good enough for me. But I never got around to installing it.

 

I have my ram ball and phone mount connected to that grab handle bolt. Solid as a rock

 

I wonder what happens when the side curtain airbag deploys. Metal brackets rearrange your grille?

 

Good for people who don’t have side curtain air bags.

 

Or bad, depending on the type of crash they’re involved in.

As for gauges, may look funny but anybody angle the gauges and point the dials up? Old track habit. So you only need to glance at it wherever you mount them.

 

Nice I was looking into that but no good part to mount it. 3rd gens have a part you can mount .

 

Good thing I didn't ever use the stock fj inclinometer so that got removed really quick in favor for the hud. Any corner would do but preferable somewhere in the peripheral.
