I've been holding off since I didn't figure anyone wanted to risk it, but I can put my head together and figure something out if there's interest.

The first one I organized at Bohemian, but I don't think that would work this time.

I did think about doing like the HS kids at Alta and parking in a circle and sit on their tailgate. But open container in a school parking lot in Utah? Cruising for a legal bruising on that one, unless we made it a mandatory "dry" event.

The UT4R group held a day out at 5 Mile last weekend, but BLM made it hard so there were groups of like 10 that "just happened to run into each other" or else they'd have to file for a permit.

@BajaAsh are you in the SUU heli schoolhouse with a Daniel Boothe? Short little hispanic dude with a legit beaner stache. Former 03xx. I think he's a year ahead of you.

I'm game for a meet up. As much as I'd like to reminisce and kill some brewskies in the hs parking lot I'd agree, SLCPD would have a ball with us

Name sounds familiar. I'm sure if I saw him I'd recognize him, the programs pretty small everyone knows or at least recognizes everyone else

A trail meet up would be optimal, but those seem to flame out easily. School parking lots and alcohol aren't ideal. In the past, it never turned out great.

What is the reason for the permit? I've not heard of this before. Is it related to COVID?

Its cuz they had like 50 trucks sign up. Basically, even though blm land is free and open, organized meets, etc need a permit.

Same reason BOR has to get them for Knolls, etc.

If there are winter meetups, I'm in. Parents have a place in Park City that I spend as much of my time at as possible during snow season.

Negative. But willing. I prefer whiskey/whisky or a single malt. I’ve been enjoying bourbons lately. I’ve consumed a fair amount Angels Envy.

Isn't the point to have 2 beers and be on your ass, not 47 little 3.2%ers and feel like a greasy lord on his throne?

See, the glory of Utah is embracing the lightweight mentality. After a little bit, you can get just as buzzed on like 50% less liquor aka your bar bill is lower.
