Just received my frame letter from Toyota yesterday. How long does the treatment process take, and if overnight do they provide a loaner?

We have a 2MW version at work that'll run the whole building (2,000 ish conveyors) at full tilt. 16 cylinder beast of a machine! I haven't had a PM (basically warm it up for a while) on it in a while but it's friggin' loud enclosed in a 52' trailer. It'll definitely suck through some fuel!

For residential I would look at Generac or Kohler. If you have a gas line at your house they can tap into the gas line for an automatic. Im looking to do the same thing. This is the 2nd time this year I lost power for over 8 hours.

my mom has always envied my bladder capacity

balls... sure. Considering I spent the majority of my shift in full turn out gear plus scba in a truck with “air conditioning” (blows air... debatable if actually cold). I don’t think I actually got out of my gear till around 4:45pm There was a point when we were on route 1, cutting trees up to clear it (State was delayed) where my sweat had sweat. Went through I think two changes of cloths.

Been there and had those days. no need to thank, I’m just one of them Crazy people lol.

We’re waiting for confirmation on our area. They’re thinking at least two tornadoes, F2 possible F3 for Dtown, F1-F2 for Homers Area and we may have had an F1. But we haven’t even had a chance to catch up. We just got all our damage assessments uploaded yesterday.

We looked into buying 2 of those to run our plant.. Hasn't happened yet, though I'm sure the next time there's a threat of a direct strike from a major hurricane we'll look again.

We're 50' from the substation though, and if the high voltage lines feeding that go down we probably have bigger problems.

Appreciate the offer but they emailed me photos of the frame last night and it appears someone has painted over rust. I'm not interested in buying a vehicle that has had something like that done. No telling what else they tried to cover up.

The best thing If you can`t handle the service and any problems the arise make sure you have local service warranty if possible.

Nothing worse then problems when the service tech is 3 hours away on a good day.

seldom do things go wrong on those nice 60 degree dry days

Guess I was optimistic and the listing said "NO RUST!" all over it. I'm trying to get frame pictures of one in AZ right now.

    Just like Snow .

A 1/2" down South shuts down the State

Lake Effect in Northern Ny 12" is not even noticed Buffalo has a Blizzard and no one takes notice just windy and snow

Granted The South does not have equipment to handle a 1/2"

Thanks. I was looking at Generac. Two of my neighbors have them so that was my first look. I'll take look at Cummins and Kohler, too. I was thinking of buying a system and doing my own install but that complicates warranties sometimes and somethings are just easier to let someone else handle it than add it to my list of items to do. I was initially thinking of building my own from the ground up, then it comes back to that "time" situation.

I would recommend you look at Briggs and Stratton, too. When I bought the original, I had the electrician working on our home construction put it in. I asked him what to get and he recommended against Generac. In retrospect, I think he was recommending against buying one from a big box store like Home Depot or Lowes. He indicated he's installed two from HD and was not a fan of the quality of the electrical components.

In the end, whatever you get I would suggest buying from a local dealer and having them install it. As was noted above, they never die when the weather is perfect and having someone who can be at the house within a few hours is, IMHO, worth the extra you might pay.
