I think once you've upgraded to 4.0 there's no legit way of going back to 3.1.2 or whatever it was.

I updated my 3GS to 4.1 the other weekend and seems to work fine...no speed issues. The only thing I've noticed now is when I upload pics to TW Live they always show up rotated 90*. Is there a way to fix this?

You can easily roll back your phone, but your going to loose features and functions that will make you angry. What does your phone do that is causing such issues? If its just being slow then that is a physical hardware issue, if its bugging out and causing problems that could be an app issue or the fact that most people dont actually hard reset enough.

I would suggest you do some spring cleaning on your phone, after all its a computer. And think if you had your laptop in your pocket, dropping it, moving it, after a while it would start to be a little sluggish.

i hard reset it once or twice a month. I clean all the crap out every couple of weeks. Sometimes the safari will lock up and then i can't do shit with the internet until i power down, the email will not load messages if i have the email open, but when i close the email they load. Sometimes it just locks up for no reason. I have had it lock up when sending a text and the spell check locked it up. I have used 3 minutes of call time last month so that should tell you something. Thanks guys

I have a 3GS iPhone with iOS 4.0 on it. Seems to work fine. Not any slower than with 3.x.

I also have a 3G phone with the same 4.x iOS. It runs fine too. Maybe a wee bit slower.
