my issue is my knee being numb. It took awhile for me to get used to just putting weight on it and knowing it was actually there ha

I have a little of that left. I still take cocoa butter and massage my scars. My big inscision is still largely numb. The General numbness in the joint is relatively gone.

So do any of you guys struggle with a good training/life balance when it comes to energy levels?

Like do you find your training gets to the point where it's sucking up the majority of your physical and mental energy to the point where like adulting responsibilities seem to dwindle?

I'm constantly criticized by my spouse that I can find the time and energy for a 15 mile run but when it comes to folding my damn laundry I'm apparently too tired lol

This has seriously become my biggest struggle and I'm working on it. Curious if you guys can relate or if I'm just a lazy, selfish ass.

Constantly.... It's always a balancing act. Only thing I've found is prioritize your list and concentrate on the important stuff first, keeping in mind that some lower priority stuff may well bubble up the list if not given attention.

Constantly need to look at that list to, as you may find you are prioritizing wrong, for whatever reason (mostly provided from your SO, or other important people in your life).

My life basically revolves around training. If it didn't, I would never train.

It's funny this is what I did last year.

I have little To Do lists for each week on the fridge. My husband can put whatever he wants on the list but each week I will do a minimum of 3 things on the list so he has to set priority if there is more than 3 things on it. Each week we start a new list.

We have to go back to that system lol.

If I don't work out in the early morning, this is the case for sure...also depending on stress elsewhere like work it can sap my energy a tonne.

I have a 4 year old, new puppy, girlfriend and parents who are remodeling that need help with it a couple times a week.

my workouts are usually pretty short. Like 35-40 min max. I do what I can with the time I have.

Home projects take it out of me. I’m being coerced into trying to paint kitchen cabinets this weekend :bananadead:

@DirtyTerp Is like rebuilding his whole house and I’m pretty sure he beats down perps all day for his day job. Don’t know how he does it all.

So I finally got the email that squat racks are back in stock...took 4 hours of the site crashing but I got some stuff ordered. They are limiting the plates to 230lbs per order though to make sure they get spread around.

wtf am I supposed to do with 230lbs :annoyed:

oh well. Wife can get jacked I guess.

So I got called out last night.

Not gonna lie I've been a tad cranky at night the last couple days. Apparently I had a bit too much attitude in my tone last night and I was yelled at that I wasn't eating enough and that's why I'm grumpy.

I actually looked at my numbers and realized that I have not been eating more even though I'm running 15 miles a week more and I've added things to my lift days compared to a few weeks ago.

Feedback from those around you can be quite valuable. Just sayin.

Dr John Bergman from HB has always been good to me and been watching his stuff for years. He doesn't agree with so called mainstream experts who now label him a quack ..lol. He's just a chiro but I'll still take his advice over skeletor and scarf lady and his quauckery has my back in no more pain for like 8 years now. Meanwhile a buddy that got cut on is still a walking stiff in pain.

Blood sugar is a bitch. Been studying mine for over a year. I cycle insulin too, so imagine how fun that is. (for performance). Yesterday, fiance brought up some dumb ass discussion as we left the gym. It's 30 mins or so home. Usually I'm fine with blood sugar for 1 hour post gym.

I told her Idk why that matters to her (it was so off topic not relevant) and I said to her in the discussion I'm sorry I'm adjusting right now with my other isolation of drugs. Hormones are shifting around as I came off some shit. No, she continued to argue. I immediately got dizzy and cold af and sweaty. I knew exactly what happened. I throw my sugar levels off during AN ARGUMENT and activated the insulin quicker. It was horrible. I didn't say anything because then I'm labelebed as I'm using it as an excuse. By time I was home I had to eat honey since that's quickest shit I have on hand.

Anyway, tldr blood sugar can fuck u up
