Interesting. The DOW formed a Golden Cross today. The MA(50) crossed above the MA(200). So, if he DOW goes down tomorrow it will then form a Death Cross. That's where the MA(50) crosses under the MA(200). This is why I don't put any faith in crosses. lol

 

Wait for the burning cross. That’s when the market gets hot and rips through the golden cross.

i figured that, would be a rather offensive name to some. But the hot market part, I dont need that, we can go slow and gradual. Or I need to ignore things for a year so I forget about the sale prices that were.

 

I dunno. Even valid news outlets were carrying talks of an accelerated vaccine. To be fair, it was before a certain day in later this year. BUT even the left leaning CNBC (whatever I like the layout for the big 3 numbers) was carrying it in a positive note. So. I think it depends. If a vaccine comes that damn early, we’ll save some stuff. I think we’ve already created some long lasting effects, some of which we don’t understand or even know about yet. But the shorter this goes the less of those there are that crop up in 5 years time.

I think one of the issues I have with the "Death Cross" is it WILL happen when there IS a sell off...So to claim it means there is a sell off coming is sometimes not correct...so it's as correct as it is incorrect...like most other things in the market...So now if it stays steady and doesn't have a major sell off the death cross was wrong, we move on, and the next time one appears everyone gets antsy again...This article points out hits and misses for the death cross...I guess I'll just sell half of what I have and buy 2x as much of the other half..

Funny you mention that. For the last 30 minutes I've been debating in my head. I might go mostly cash by 11:00 tomorrow. I'd only hold loosing positions and those with earnings coming up. IE, I'd cash out all my NVDA calls. They are all up over 50%.

So, with all your research, where do you see silver settling out at years end.

 

Many of the top Analysts are speculating silver could hit $50 by election day. PM's could rally until the end of the pandemic however the effects of the pandemic on stocks will likely last well past that. Also doesn't hurt that the feds keep devaluing the dollar by printing trillions for stimulus packages. I added 1000 oz of silver and 10 oz of gold to my portfolio in March around its low and I'm pretty stoked but I plan on holding for another 20 years as it's my retirement hedge against imminent continued inflation.
