    Thanks

    Thank you

I had to look up 4xinnovations rear taco bumper, I had forgotten what it looked like. When I was looking at rear taco bumpers I wasn't really finding anything that I loved the look of.

My transmission is starting to wine (04 auto) pretty sure It’s ready for a change out. Anyone out there have the part number for the filter? I herd that the filter can rinsed out and reused? True or false?

Forgot to update the post about my doors, they are finally done. I took the easy route and used raptor liner. I ended up using DS18 pro speakers, and they are very very loud 225rms per door.

The cup holder fits a regular bottle or a can, Gatorade is all I had when it was 100 degrees out and I was finishing up.

Before I pull the trigger, anyone have anything to say about the TC rear shock relocation kit? Spoke with @austinmtb and he likes his set up, I’d basically be going with the exact same thing. The kit paired with ADS shocks that I will order once I get the kit to take measurements. My only real concern is my frame Reinforcements add 3/16” to the frame. TC said it shouldn’t be an issue.

Anyway, just seeing if anyone else has any feed back.

Damnit I wish Toyota had outboarded the shocks to begin with. I would do one of these kits but I don’t want to add spacers.

Yeah I’m already running spacers, so it seems like a great option. I can’t even imagine how much better it will handle

I was on vacation this week and with Covid I didn’t plan anything and just focused on the collection of parts for the Tacoma. I replaced the steering rack, tie rods, upper control arms, lower control arm bushings, lower ball joints, replaced the needle bearing in the front diff with the ecgs bushing to eliminate vibration, replaced the axle shaft seals, replaced the cv axles, and then put my new tires and wheels on.

Also scored on a one owner T4R v8 4x4 limited with 136k for $6k yesterday

i'm real tempted by one of these but, like @Shortman5 i don't want to run spacers. if I were going to do it, i would cut out that section of the frame reinforcements and then weld on the shock mount, tying it in with the reinforcement. in an ideal world of course, you would wait and do the reinforcements at the same time, but i'd imagine it would work the same, just a little more work the other way.

Yeah reinforcements are welded in place. And would be a pain to cut out. I’ve been running wheel spacers for 30k miles, no issues for me, doesn’t bother me to run them.

Thing drives like a dream, I couldn’t believe it when I saw the flyer at the mechanic shop I was at, they were asking $7k and I didn’t want to lowball because knew it was well worth what they were asking so I just asked his bottom dollar and he said 6k haha. I jumped on it. Needs a good wax/detail and some light hail damage but other than that it’s great. I want to put a sport hood on it.

but the taco on the other hand drives better than it ever has since I’ve owned it in the past 7 years! I love it.

real downside to that kit is running 2.0 shock bodies vs 2.5.

My 04 auto is whining too. Was told it’s probably the transmission pump. Had the full monty fluid flush and made no difference.

I’m curious about your attempt as resolving it.

I dont usually drink that stuff, just while I was rushing to get the doors done. It fits a Corona perfectly. That's usually what's in there!

Ads is 2.125 and Austinmtb is running them with no issue.

would the difference be big? I planned on getting shocks with reservoirs.
