They always get me like that, waiting for something to be finished so I wander into the tool section and end up with a pile of shop supplies and a new Milwaukee battery. Whatever I was there for just ended up costing $300 more.

So the other day at work I hand a coworker one of my SnapOn dead blow mallets to knock a hydraulic cyl back into the barrel, he’s on top of a mast of a fork lift, I’m below directing and trying to hold barrel in position. Every time he connects, I get rained on, at first I though it was bits of plastic, but it was lead shot from the mallet. It’s 18years old, I’ve beat the hell out of it. If I see a SnapOn guy I’ll see if he’ll warranty (probably not) .
    7D754450-3B2B-4753-B27C-878E8921B2BA.jpg
I bought these in replace, $35 delivered 25DB7612-25B0-403A-84A9-2840780174B7.jpg
Lifetime warranty as well, we’ll see how that works. A third the cost of ONE SnapOn
And because my wife was letting me buy tools....
    C45989EA-36FD-4062-A517-7D7851F33144.jpg
3/8” kit, 4mm-24mm, up to 1” on SAE $125 delivered.
Probably use this as a home kit, so I’m not taking My tools off the service van and leaving them home.

New jack my wife got me for my birthday. Works great picking up the Tacoma. Didn’t see the point in paying the extra $ for the Daytona. I won’t be using this much so should do me fine.

Well I have had my Makita cordless impact for a month?

And replaced my ujoints, carrier bearing, tore part the suspension to replace the TC uniballs and coilover/shock spherical bearings, and more recently tore apart my interior to sound deaden it.

This impact is life changing. Truly.
Plus it means I get to organize my tools again.

It’s new this year. Mid torque 240 ft/lbs tightening and 430 nut busting. And small. It will be on my truck when I wheel for sure.

that and my gear wrench impact sockets and extensions.

This impact really has changed the way I can work on my truck.

Well I found Amazon's current price was about $60 cheaper than anywwhere else so I pulled the trigger.

I have been using my makita 1/4 impact with 3/8'' and 1/2'' adapters for the last couple years, it was time. Screen Shot 2020-08-13 at 8.04.32 PM.jpg

It all comes down to your dealer granted to start these days as a Snap On dealer your looking at 1/4 $$ Million start up if not more not including the Truck. That was 15 years ago or longer

I had a great dealer till He got out of the business I never had a problem with getting anything warrantied then I also paid on time.

I pulled the trigger on the Dewalt mid torque 1/2" not too long ago. I knew I'd be tearing apart my 4R's front end for lots of work.

Man, should have bought one so much sooner. Zipped the axle nut off on the lowest setting no problem. Before I had to have the wife step on the brakes and use a two foot breaker bar lol.

Removed everything no issues. I'm talking spindle to ball joint carrier bolts, caliper bolts, alignment cams all with zero struggle.

Only thing it took a while to do was pop the ball joints on the LCA's with a ball joint press. If I didn't have the impact, I wouldn't have been able to get them out. I couldn't even turn my large 250ft/lb torque wrench on the ball joint press. Still took help from a torch, but in the end it worked.

I can't recommend a decent impact enough to anyone who asks now!

Is the lowest setting the highest torque setting on the DeWalt? Lowest usually referring to slowest RPM.

Lowest rpm/torque. Unless it's the same torque/lower rpm. Honestly I'm not sure.......

Working on forklifts I sometimes find that my 1/2” stuff battery or pneumatic won’t do the job, I don’t need to cost nor do I have the room for a 3/4” or larger gun
    Amazon to rescue...
This was $60ish a few years ago
