I ordered a lockrite locker for my tacoma and would like to start looking at what the install involves before i get started. Has anyone done it? Tips? Tricks? A How-To or anything?

05+ have the same rear end as the older tacomas, so any of those writeups will be what you need.

when i did mine the instructions that came with were pretty clear.

only tip i have is if you have to remove the ring gear, make sure to mark it so it goes back on in the exact same place. and heat it up in the oven to re-install.

Its very easy, like somebody else said mark everything.... before disassembling. The only fishy part in instructions is the direction of the spacer. Also make sure when you putting back to locktite every bolt. :)

When I get home I will try to dig up my pictures from the install. There is no need to set backlash unless you made major screw up (like forgot to mark your ring against the carrier ) Althoguh I would check anyway since diff is out you may as well check all of it, anyway. ;)
