I have a U bolt flip kit, but the U bolts that came with it are too short to fit my Dakar Medium Duty leaf packs with my shims and the top bump stop plate. I need some longer U bolts but am having trouble finding them as nearly all listings for the Tacoma are for the stock style U down squared off bolts or come with bump stop plates as a whole kit.

If I'm looking at this correctly I would need:

    Length 8.5"+
    Width 3.5" axle tube
    9/16 (or 14mm) bolt dia.

I suppose they could be longer so long as they have enough threads I can cut them down if need be.

Also, if you happen to know, what's the center leaf pack bolt size supposed to be?

    Thanks.

I did try search, and google but there's almost too much info out there and searching anything with Tacoma and Flip U bolts just gets flip kit threads no U bolt specifics that I could find.

I have these with the same setup you’re describing and they fit perfectly.

Thanks that's pretty much what I was looking for. 1/2" is only 13mm though not that 1mm or 1/16" more particularly matters...

    Holding up good for you?

Yeah they’re great, they’re not zinc coated (Gold) but I’m pretty sure they’re rated appropriately. I think AllPro makes their own set In the gold-zinc grade-8 as well which I also found on wheelers site but they didn’t have the full specs with measurements like the link above. I’m sure either would work fine though. U-bolts don’t need To have super tight tolerances as long as the fastener is rated appropriately.

Also missed the part where you asked about center pins. Here’s those:

I'm running that exact kit with wheelers ubolt flip kit and their super bumps w/ Dakar HD, which have 1 more leaf spring compared to the Mediums and works out perfect.

I found a store that sells parts for big rigs and they can make any size u-bolt I need. Length and thickness, and for cheaper than what the Tacoma ones are going for online. I'd call around in your area to see if any place around there can do something like that. Then you'll have exactly what you need.

You can also use grade-8 socket head Allen bolts. Can go to Fastenal, Grainger, or any good hardware store if you have one in your area and get them the same day, or use McMaster-Carr and get them the next day.

ARB makes ubolts in various lengths, OMEU59B is 8.8” long, it’s what I used on my truck with a flip kit and Dakar’s with the AAL

Yep. Places that make U bolts stock various lengths and diameters of straight rods that are threaded on the ends. They can bend them for you in any configuration you need.
