    what are those?
So my bad luck I dropped the hood bolt when putting on some ditch light brackets and it went down the tiniest hole near the back into the body of the truck. I cant believe it even fit but to be honest that's the kind of day I was having.

Needless to say it is gone after hours of trying to retrieve it.

Does anyone know the part # for the bolt and where to buy it? or even a makeshift solution?

keep in mind I am from Canada and its mostly impossible to get anything shipped here for less than a limb.

    appreciate any help.

A door bolt is probably the same. 12mm head right?

The head is 12mm, the threads are probably 10mm. Take one of the silver door bolts out, the door is temporarily ok with 3 bolts. Hood is probably going to get damaged with 3 bolts.

I have a ton of those shouldered bolts laying around. But its probably more expensive to ship, then it is to find a replacement locally.

Any chance of snaking a very small magnet around where it dropped in? Should be able to Jerry rig something using a clothes hanger and a magnet you can procure at the local hardware store.

Have you pulled the fender liner and see if the bolt made it to the bottom, instead of just working from the top?

Good time to clean out the debris you'll find in that area too.

    Typically, a 12mm bolt head is a 8m x 1.25. 14mm usually are 10m......

One of these? The size is 8x1.25, and its the same bolt as almost every car door, and most hoods. The difference is the length, but you should have plenty of room for a slightly longer bolt if you need.

Here is the site I use to by my parts in Canada. Cheaper than walking into a dealer.

I can understand them not selling parts for a 2105, but why wouldn’t the sell parts for a 2015?

Email Watson at partsdirect. Most likely a website issue, as I suspect they are a dealer and can get the part you need
