Yes, likely one of those. Leaning towards a Ford XLT if I can find one optioned the way I want (which is looking tough).

I think it’s a sellers market right now. Maybe 3/6 months before inventories and orders start becoming more normal again.

    who knows though..

What options are looking for with the Ford? Anything specatular? If you're looking for the heavy payload package or the max tow, they're like damn unicorns up here unless you order them...

The sales manager where I bought mine told me he thinks many don't order them with max tow because they're afraid they will come with tow mirrors. He got his dealership to start ordering basically every 3.5 with that.

Mine doesn't have max tow but has every option that max tow includes. Basically means I paid about $1000 more for an identical truck that's rated to tow 1000 lbs less.

Ford refusing led lighting on any truck under 1 million dollars makes me want to punch them in their face. It’s absurd and so backwards I can’t get over it.

you can’t even get a lariat sd crew cab with leds

LEDs were one of two options I wanted when I was looking at new vehicles. They are amazing.

I wouldn’t buy a new car without them at this point. Halogen is dog shit and the fact that it costs money to have halogen fogs on some fords is insulting imo.
Whatever the name of our roadway chiefs there refuse to allow us to use lights Europe has used for what a decade?

I like project beams, I use HIDs in projects - that way if it burns out it's 20 bucks for new bulbs (or 150 if you need ballasts too). I don't like LEDs - if it burns out, it's the whole housing. That's my take on it at least.

What? Are you serious? The GMC has LED and they are just awesome. I thought they would all have them by now.

HID are good too, but only reason you can't replace an LED bulb is because the manufacturer is an asshole, not because of the tech.

Nice! With those options, you might want to consider a lariat or at least compare it. That's a fairly dressed up XLT, might end up being the same price for a lower dressed lariat with the same general options and maybe even a few more goodies.
I've been looking at Morimoto LED replacements. They had the quad LED housing for the super duty for a while but I wasn't a huge fan of the look and they were stupid expensive. The new models look OEM and are much more reasonably priced.
Mine still had halogens and they're not bad. The reflectors are much better and I have the quad beam lights so they actually make decent use of the halogen bulbs.
It's an option on the Fords, and not a cheap one at that...

I spent just under $1,500 all said and done to do the OEM retrofit into my truck and wouldn't blink at doing it again. The results in the 3G lighting thread speak for themselves. I laugh these days when I see people dropping LED bulbs into halogen reflectors.

To be fair my tacoma has LED DRL which are honestly bright enough to at least drive down my back road at night without street lights. I wouldn't do them highway and it's definitely not a suggestion, but the DRL is surprisingly bright.

Also, yesterday, I learned in my head unit in vehicle customization, I can turn off the LED DRL option. I have a stalk with OFF, DRL, Park, Headlights. If you turn them off in the HU, when you turn it to DRL it's the same as Off. WHY that is in the HU, I don't know. Thanks Toyota. Maybe its for an AUTO option.

This is fair. Don't get me wrong, an LED setup would be great, I test drove the ranger with them and liked them, but the light color and output was near enough the same as my HIDs in projectors. Fortunately my HID conversion from my mazda was the same low beam size as the tacoma :p I have 6000k bulbs. I'm 99% sure I have the 55W ballasts, not the 35. I had 8000k before this, I like that better in the snow but it doesn't snow enough anymore in RI compared to NH and ME. Might try a warmer color when these burn out.

Lariat 502a and up only. It's stupid, but I replaced my XLT with one of them so I guess Ford won.

So Mass now considers RI a high risk state even though we have a 10th of the cases Mass does o_O
