@theesotericone also kept the stock crawlbox 2.28 gears in it that come already installed in all gear driven RF1A transfer cases. You'll want the 4.7 gears though since you're a manual. That adds a bit more cost if you build one up yourself.
Lemme know if you wanna build one up and I can help. I'm in the process of acquiring parts to do mine.

I kept the stock gear ratio but not the stock gears. I went with a Marlin total spline input. That was about $150 at the time. 4.7 gears from Marlin or TG are about $550. If you have a manual you want the 4.7's for sure.

Oh yea that's right. $150 isn't bad at all for some super solid MC gears. Wish I could run the marlin gears in my 4cyl.

TG is the only one that makes a 23 to 26 spline coupler and that won't work with MC gears since the splines are cut differently. W59 transmission is 26 spline.

Really? Who told you that? About the spline cut being different?

Interesting. When TG first sent my adapters they sent me a 23x26 spline. That worked fine for the Marlin TSI. Didn't work so well for my 23 spline trans output shaft. They sent me the correct 23x23 and I installed the case. So for 2 years I've been running Marlin gears with a TG coupling. Unless only the 4.7s are cut different. Which they can't be because the Marlin coupling works with both the 2.28 and 4.7s. lol

Hm interesting. Yea a while back in that thread there were a couple people who said that Marlins solution was to swap in a v6 23 spline t-case. That was back in August of 2019, so I figured that would still be the case today.
You could be right, but at this point I'd rather not have to deal with returning parts and stuff to marlin if it doesn't end up working out. Last time I tried to get a hold of someone at MC over the phone, I was on hold for like 5 hours 3 days in a row and still wasn't able to talk to anyone.

EDIT: checked and it still states that you need to swap cases to a 23 spline case.

Yea if you get a crawlbox, you keep your stock T-case. The Crawlbox gets installed between the transmission and stock chain drive t-case

    Some really cool shit
So, trying to get Relentless IFS skid back in, temporarily, until I get my exhaust reroute. Had to Rube Goldberg it a little until I get the Rivnut Tool Kit. Fastenal has one for 3/8 16.

Under the truck I see this. And found about 8 or 10 drips of oil On the driveway, after an hour or so. WTF?

Right side. Looking up at the axle for right front wheel.
