    @suttonkb is probably closest. There’s very little signal northwest of Walhalla. I used to drive through there on the way to our campspot in GA on the Chattooga.

    The road they normally take goes right through Walhalla and that's the part of the drive that they said they broke down on. I don't know exactly where though

    So if they were on 28, someone will stop and help at some point. It’s only two lane roads around that point. It’s very rural and there’s no signal in Mountain Rest. I’ve been on 107 but can’t remember much. Pretty rural but not sure how traffic is through there.

    @jpneely

    Maybe reach out to the Oconee County Sheriffs dept and explain the situation. They can keep an eye out.

    Nope. We used to camp on the Chattooga near Clayton. I think I’ve camped out there about four times.

    Yea that's the road. I'm sure they've figured something out, but it still worries me leaving that unknown.

    @JayDub isn't terribly far. I get out that way sometimes, but it isn't often.

    We plan to make a trip there this year, it’s a boat ramp/dock/bathhouse with one camp site on the lake. We found of when hanging out in Clayton! If you’re headed to the Gorge overlook and just go left, instead of right, it gets all crazy and 4x4 only signs with a mountain-esq dirt road up/down to it! very few reviews of it and part of Georgia Powers property.

    Good call. Just did that. We shall see. Again, I'm sure they're fine. I just like some peace of mind
