Funny I had the same problem with Fortex pole beans. Best tasting bean I have grown but very inconsistent year to year. Some years almost a complete bust. I have moved on as well.

I'll have to look into the Dragon Tongue for next year; generally I stick with what I can get from Johnny's but I usually throw an 'experiment' into the garden every year.

Was picking some 'free range' Borage leaves for tea last night and I had some company that was also interested in the plant

They have been good consistent producers for me. They are big and flat, more like a wax bean. Yellow with purple stripes. I get seeds from FedCo https://www.fedcoseeds.com I'm surprised you don't get seeds from them since they are right down the road from you.

I'm very happy with Fedco. Would 100% buy from them exclusively in the future after my recent purchase. It doesn't get better then buying my seeds from a bunch of hippies thrue a co op.:fistbump:

First batch of cayenne peppers on the dehydrator this year. Will grind and make cayenne pepper when they are done.

Consider me jealous. My hab seeds did nothing this year...thankfully my jalapeños are coming in!

    upload_2020-8-2_9-40-47.jpg

This empty space is where I planted my habanero seeds. I usually have huge bushes of habs, but those seeds did nothing. I think the plants on the right are volunteer habs, and the one on the left is another pepper plant I added about a month ago.

    upload_2020-8-2_9-42-42.jpg

Would love to plant tomatoes or sweet peppers, but something eats everything that isn't too hot to handle...and it isn't the birds.

Garden is producing good now. Bigger eating and canning tomatoes are just starting to ripen.

I love those gold cherries. I grew a yellow gold tom that is producing baseball size yellow tomatoes and they are tasty. But I prefer the gold cherry toms

They are good ones. Variety is called Egg Yolk. Have grown them for a couple years now. Planted a red variety this year called Jasper and has to be one of the sweetest cherry tomatoes I’ve grown.

Anyone able to assist with identification? Google says plum but I'm a little skeptical because of the size and how the trees are so clustered together. Thinking maybe it's a type of cherry? There's a ton of insect damage so I'm hoping to narrow down my treatment options and also how to care for these.

This is in Montana, zone 5b if that helps narrow it down.

Looks like a plum to me. Lots of wild plum trees in Montana.

I really like the neem oil treatment. Concentrated cold pressed neem oil in a pump sprayer . It’s a insecticide and fungicide. In a concentrated formula you can get 8 gallons from a pint . Organic too . Do some research and you’ll understand better. Good luck

Interesting. What little fruit there is is green and super tiny. Will be interesting to see I guess once I'm able to clean up around them.
Thanks. I'm thinking I may pull the fruit and treat them all once we're settled in. I doubt anything will mature on them right now and you can already see one small tree in the back that's died from whatever's getting at them.
