Dobinson’s coils and shocks. SOS sliders, ditch light brackets, and front skid. Rigid ditch lights. BFG KO(dos) More minor stuff.

That I can handle. Been painting interior doors here and changing hardware that was 26 years old. That crap is expensive.

I just changed all the electrical outlets and some switches from residential to commercial style and cost me a couple hundred. I spent some big bucks putting in some GFI outlets with nightlights too. Those things are expensive.

Half the switches in our house were white and the other half almond colored. Made no sense.

We need actual grounded outlets installed in about 85% of the house. Only the kitchen and two bathrooms have grounded outlets.

Sounds like my old house. It was pretty scary the jankyness of whoever did my electrical before.

The house currently has all ivory outlets and switches. I will be changing every one of them to white, I can’t stand ivory or almond. Also adding GFCI outlets in the kitchen and both bathrooms.

The living room fan was controlled using a dial dimmer. The faceplate screws got so hot you couldn’t even touch them. I promptly replaced that with a switch.

Helped a guy in a house in Spartanburg that had wiring ran through ceramic tubes and around ceramic insulators below the floor in the crawl space. It was well over 100 years old. He had the place rewired. There was some sketchy stuff.

Yep, early 50's wiring in most of the house. I've had it safety checked as much as possible without ripping out walls, but eventually would really like to have all the wiring re-done. We're limited to 100 amp service in the house, but I have 200 amp service in my work shed.

On the other hand, it's hard to argue with the ~$30 power bill every month from the old Greenwood Duke rate.

Most residential electricians value engineer to the cheapest solution. Like installing whatever color faceplates they have in the back of their work van.

You only need one GFCI per circuit. So one per breaker should do you just fine.
