Just out of curiosity, have they had any flexibility in this with the current situation? Have they been more prone to approve something as of late?

As far as I know, not for homeschooling. However, the state has said that if districts open they have to have a remote option for parents who opt to keep kids home.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a beach location in the Northeast for the post Labor Day weekend?
We (my family) and another couple are wanting to rent a house, maybe do some surf fishing, etc. we have done west haven CT, cape cod, and Maine.
Looking for a sandy beach, fishing, etc. I haven’t explored further east from CT or RI. I also haven’t looked into Long Island much either

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
A sandy beach in RI? Narragansett comes to mind. Newport too but so damn expensive plus it gets super busy (but for a reason).

What part of Cape Cod did you go too?

We’ve been to Yarmouth and Truro/P-Towb area, both are nice but incredibly crowded right now from COVID restricted vacations on New Yorkers. Cape cod is the primary destination

Was loading up barrels in my truck this morning (empty and light plastic) one started rolling a little funny as I was setting it down. I held on and *snap* finger broke at the knuckle closest to the hand. Second finger this year :duh::facepalm:

Ouch! Broken fingers suck! Good luck, hopefully it set up alright and isn’t too much of a nuisance.

It’s pretty clean and straight. Got a home made splint but I need to find a good way to stop horizontal movements as that’s how it snapped. I think if all goes decent it should heal well though.

where are you coming from, as in what state?

Narragansett is fine. There’s a few other places, have you looked at block island at all? BI is nice but expensive. We only do day trips (were from R.I.) but I’m not sure what restrictions anyone has going on right now with all the stuff going on.

I love how nonchalant you are about broken fingers like they’re mosquito bites. Like, oh well there goes another one. o_O

which finger? I have broken a few I usually buddy splint or tape them to the ones next to it.

check the NY laws. Emperor Cuomo is pretty strict about travel to the bad states and quarantining and whatnot. Rhode Island is currently on the naughty list.

lost the post. But there are probably a few rentals on Johnston pond, that’s a bit more low key than the R.I. beaches. Fresh water but probably a few rentals that would be a good spot. I don’t know the cape enough to give much of a recommendation on it.

you’ve got more balls than me going for a modern diesel. What’s the mpg on that thing?:rofl::rofl:

I’m sure there was more choice words when it happened I’m just picturing someone breaking their finger like cracking knuckles like oh well it’s gone :D

Good candidate for buddying up though can use the middle finger to tape it to. But I am also by no means a medical professional or even a medical amateur. So. Do with that what you will :p

This wasn’t too bad at first but just lingering now. I tried to buddy to middle and didn’t work, I’m starting to think it might be a bone in the hand maybe because things pop and shift funny now when I turn it certain way. If its my hand might get an X-ray but I’ll wait a few days to see if I didn’t just strain a ligament or something

Most urgent care can do an X-ray and they’re reasonable in cost. Worth checking out at least.

I was just making jokes. That seems lower than I expected actually for the mpg. Honest question have you looked at hybrid options too? Mpg and electric power for towing :p
