I was just working on my truck and noticed these little pieces that hold my grille in place we’re broken or missing. Anyone know what their called and where to get them? I have a bunch missing from other pieces under the hood as well.

Usually called plastic/nylon push rivets or panel retainers. You can buy different sizes at your local parts store, or of course directly at the dealership for usually more $$$

Parts store it is! Try to stay clear of the dealerships.

The Toyota version are much better quality than the Amazon/vatozone version. The cheap replacements I used failed after one removal.

You can buy the assortment kit or just a 100-count bag of this kind only: https://www.amazon.com/dp/product/B00MJU6IYQ/ They're helpful in other areas like the fenderwell splash guards or plugging vacant holes in the frame. I use them in the interior as well, for example to plug the holes in the floor when I removed the rear seatbelt buckles.

Those push retainers are probably Toyota 52161-02020.

I recently got this set for use on my Lexus RX. They seem *very* similar to OEM, and are represented as such. Comparing one of the new ones to a retainer from my 2008 Lexus RX showed they're not completely identical, but so close I can't see any functional difference.

Oddly, that's exactly what the other side has from the previous owner.

I bought a box of a 100 in various sizes for about $ 8.00 on ebay when I had to fix inner fender liner. They have been on truck this past winter (cold) and through this awful dog poop hot summer. They work fine, can't imagine a better quality than "they do their job".

Works good for identifing other things too. I've used it on plants, trees, spiders, to name a few.
