They need to talk to Nissan about that - the cup holders in my frontier are glorious. I can even pull out the liner and put a wide mouth Nalgene in there.

The cupholders in my taco are shallow and square.:goingcrazy:

I own one stainless mug I can jam in there and it kind of stays. Any paper cup from a drive-thru is a lost cause though.

Are the newer ones at least round? Or did they do something silly like a trapezoid?

They're round but it's a stupid rubber insert that clings to anything you put in it so anytime you pull your drink out the insert comes with it

Edit: also.... Square cupholders? What the hell toyota

If you get a third gen, they give you 12 cup holders

Possibly. It would be easy with a 3d printer.

Or I could cut up a block of wood...

    Hmm.

I actually kinda miss those older style flip down ones that grip your drink. The back of my center console in the rolla has them, and they come in handy quite often. The ones up front are tiny :/ I like that toyota realized their cupholders are tiny and made those rubber inserts for the tacos, but they get in the way as often as they help.

I would go with 3d imo. Wood would be cheaper if you've already got the tools

I have enough tools to fake it with the wood block, but that doesn't sound very exciting.

Maybe I'll use the wrong tool for the wrong task and weld together some of the misc scrap I have been accumulating.
