If anyone went to UW or drank in the U-district from I dunno, late 90's to at least mid 2000s, you would know the European lady who worked at a bar called Earl's. She would pour the stiffest fucking drinks ever. You just need 1-2 long islands to get hammered. Pint glass full of booze with just a little spritz of coke on top. Tastes nasty at first by the time you reach the end you DGFA.

Best deals ever. Wonder if she's still around.

I know of a few places back in the day that would only serve you 2 long islands and then you were cut off. Cut off from long islands at least. Earl's sounds familiar. Is it still there?

Earl's used to be this 2 story bar with pool tables and whatnot, and then they demolished that building, like before 2010. There was another bar/club called All American, which ended up becoming the new Earl's on the ave. Looks like it's still there.

Ahhh, I remember Earl's, at least a 2 story pool hall were my buddy decided to play a guy for money he didn't have one night. :bananadead:

According to the front page, they keep their reputation on the drinks.
"We're known as a no-nonsense sports bar with late-night hours, stiff drinks".

When we hung out there back in the day, they had like 2 dollar slices of pizza late in the night too. Cheap/strong drinks and cheap pizza, what else could you want in your early 20s?

I went to the UW back then. Earl's was the go to. Long Islands, cheap pizza, and plenty of late night debauchery. I miss being young lol.

Last time I hung out in the U District ended up with my buddy puking out my window on I5 and me with a truck to clean up. Good times. We went drink for drink, to this day not sure why I was plenty sober enough to drive, yet he was 63 shades to the wind.

No joke. As a single man in his late 30s I'm still able to keep up with the younger crowd. I feel like hell the next day but I try unsuccessfully to hide it lol.

You ain't kidding. I used to bounce out of bed and burn rubber to work at 5:30am, now I'm lucky to get outta bed before 10am if I go out mid-week and try to tie one off like I did in my 20's.

We took one of the new laborers out for his 21st after work for dinner and proceeded to get him housed. I gave him one piece of advice before the drinks started coming back to back; Chew your food good.

The next morning he puked twice in his driveway before he got into my truck when I picked him up on the way to work and once more out the window before we got to work. He thanked me for the advice while hanging his head out the window and puking.

A couple weeks ago, a redneck friend of mine got married and had a couple kegs, one piss light (coors light), and the other blue moon. Before the night was over, I was involved in keg stands. I think I only puked about 4 or 5 times after my keg stand, and might have tried to shit on a tree. I at least knew better than to drive. My plan was to spend the night in my truck, but wifey came out to pick me up about 130am. The entire next day, I didn't have a headache, but I felt nauseous. This getting old thing sucks.

I was out as DD with another friend last weekend, and he told me that a lady he was dating is a nurse, and would hook him up to IV fluids after a hard night of drinking, and he was ready to get back to hard drinking the next day.

sounds like my wedding. i had a keg of bud light and a keg of sierra nevada. most of the responsible people over 40 had left for the evening and next thing i know my buddies have me upside down and their shoving the keg hose in my mouth. a few of my groomsmen and other friends took turns and then the bud light ran out so we moved to the sierra nevada. apparently it didnt get as much attention as the BL did, we drank on the sierra nevada while we cleaned up the venue the next day.

We had sushi that night. Window up or window down, at 60mph turns out it doesn't matter. Interior was covered. Floor mat is the answer
