Looking for a few suggestions for my blackvue install/setup.
    1. I was think of installing the battery behind the back seat driver side. 2020 OR Quad cab truck. I like to keep the truck as clean install as I can. I really don’t like the idea of under the seat. Never really liked amps installed under the seat either.
    2. I was also think of putting a auxiliary fuse box under the hood. Any thoughts on power coming from the aux.box verses the main fuse panel.

I know I went a bit over board with picking up the blackvue system. I did get a good deal Under 800 shipped to AK. I figured that was a win.

Thanks to everyone for your idea and suggestions!

    Enjoy your and ☀️!

I have a Blackvue DR750S-2ch, great camera and good investment. With the battery pack, it is even better, if only it didn't cost a fortune...

Should be fine wiring it up to an auxiliary fuse box. But would it be always on power? Which may or may not be ideal, depending on what you are looking for. I have mine hooked up to ignition, so the battery would only charge when the truck if on.

I have the BlackVue 750-2ch, with the Cellink Neo battery pack currently in my Audi. Haven’t switched it over to the Tacoma yet. I have it hooked up via add a fuse to my fuse box to a source that’s only on when the ignition is on. It’s really easy to hide the wires in the headliner and pillars. I have it currently all wired with the battery in the trunk and you can’t see any wires. I was thinking of putting the battery under the back seat or behind the back seat when I move it to the Tacoma. Haven’t decided yet. Either way it’s a really easy set up. Nice to have almost 24 hours of parked camera coverage on a full charge with the Cellink NEO. The battery charges quickly and you can see the charge and discharge rate via the app.

I would have a relays as well in the fuse box. So no on the power always on.

    A growing list of stuff
@Birks Did you have time to get this installed yet? I have been on the fence about what camera system to buy, and this one seems pretty sweet with the 4k.

The main reason why I have not pulled the trigger on this so far is that there are a bunch of people who were complaining on Amazon about the video quality not being quite what they expected, possible bad low light image quality, and the app. I would be curious to hear what you think on those once you get yours dialed in.

Also, do you know what the size dimensions are on the front camera? Thanks!

If you want video quality, it would actually be best to go for China brands, like rexing, viofo, street guardian, etc.

Korean brands are not known for their video quality, which is odd, considering they are "Premium" brands.

I have not received it. Still waiting for it. I had a bit of a hiccup ordering it. It was more a me issue then the vendor. I will be installing it right away. I will keep you posted.

you can always find complaints online. I did not buy mine from Amazon.

I have the dual channel 590 mounted in the GoPro mount. Wires tucked up under the headliner and not visible except for the last 2”. I also got the power magic Pro so mine is powered all the time (as long as my battery level doesn’t drop below the preset value). It’s my daily driver so that’s not a worry.

It’s not 4K, but has been pretty reliable for 2+ years in the Texas heat.

I have a blackvue DR-900S in my daily, and a Thinkware in my truck. Both are awesome, but overall I like the Thinkware more, so I think you made an awesome choice!!

I was doing a radio swap in the Subaru the same day i hardwired the blackvue and thought it was cleaner to go behind the radio for constant, 12v switch and ground since I wont need to use fuse taps. Been like that over a year and zero issues.

They are not in backorder anymore, I receive my UPS tracking # today.
They have a decent Youtube channel too. I shop around a little bit and
this is the best deal I can find.

I also have a 750S-2CH with a B-124 battery. Pricy but it hasn't given me problems. First thing I bought for the truck because I used to live in Vegas. It'll pay for itself with one accident, as will yours.

The battery is pretty awesome. Charges to full in about 40 min and lasts about 19 hours even with parking mode set to 8 sensitivity. I put it under the passenger seat but you could put it anywhere. I personally would say don't do it in the storage behind the seats but that's because I have it crammed with stuff. Maybe in the glove box?

Running the wires was the hardest part. I ran them through the headliner and down the A pillar towards and under the door sill shield thingies then back up the C pillar for the rear camera. I tapped into the DOOR S/L fuse, 20A. It's of sufficient amperage and ignition only.

I wish the Blackvue app suite was better but it's by no means terrible. Mostly I wish it would flag the video when it detects an event in parking mode. I have to find it myself if I want to see what it was.

    Good luck with your adventure.

Probably outdated, but the Rexing V1P 2.4 is pretty good. Of course, they installed my GoPro mount crooked.. just fixed that today, a piece of toothpick and a bit of trimming.
    I run a 256GB card, 26 hours/override. No fancy bluetooth etc..but it works.

The rear camera is not so great, pretty grainy.. as long as you don't need a plate #, it'll pass. Hopefully I won't.
I also just received the Dongar mod, but need a 1ft cord if using the GoPro mount. Just fyi.
Rear cam is velcro'd to the window. That fix is next, don't like the angle.

oddly enough, while cleaning out the old files so I can see how my 'toothpick tech' worked out, I landed on this one.. nice taco!

Well I am going with the blackvue 4K Dual channel. Just got my tracking number this morning.

I am still debating on if I want the battery behind the back seat or not. I know I do not want it in the glove box for sure as I actually use it for for useful things.I am not a big fan of under the seat as I mentioned before.

Just an update. I have decided to go with the battery behind the back seat passenger side. Just need to run my power back up to a fuse and it is all done.

Can’t say enough about the quick delivery all the way to ANC from thedashcamstore.com. Great to deal with as well.
