Not sure what your referring too exactly, but they have been introduced outside of their natural range where they become very invasive and are voracious predators eating native fish.

boney as awl hell, so, unless yer well versed in fileting boney fish, I have heard, that they are quite good, rather catch n release personally, too much effort to filet em
