    Hello All,

I found this wire/connector that has been cut and I would like to know what it's for.
This is on the driver side behind the kick panel of my 2014 regular cab base model 2.7l.

The wires on the other end are coming out of the big harness you can see that has electrical tape on it and is zip tied to the cab wall. They are a maroon and kind of purple color. I can take better photos if necessary.

I'm not strong in the electrical department so any help is appreciated.

    Thanks much,

Is anything on your truck not working? If not I wouldn't worry about it. :D

    RAMONA,CA.
I would get a mutimeter and see if it's constant or switched power. In any event properly secure the ends from shorting out.

Yep, just looked at the schematic for the audio system. Pink and violet feed the light green and blue for the drivers door speaker, without door lock control. (*2 on the schematic)

Everything works as far as I know.
I'm just curious what cut cut.

it’s the factory Toyota manual. I bought the whole set of factory repair manuals for my year Taco.

I installed some aftermarket speakers and that isn't their feed.
    Stereo works. :notsure:

OK, so somebody rewired the speakers and that’s the factory wiring that isn’t doing anything anymore.

    Dang,
I guess I cut it when I wired the new speakers and forgot to remove the connector.
The new speakers have their own wires that go to the amp and not the head unit.

Thank you so much for your help!

whatstcp deserves all the credit. I just confirmed what he posted. Prior to his post, I had no idea where to even look in the schematics.
