Confirm the thing isn't actually locking before going down the electrical rabbit hole.

Yeah should have done that first, I assumed he was in 4wd when he initially tested it.

Thank you all TW! Jacked the truck up one side, locker is working! I guess the long 7 hrs drive back from the gear shop and the heat today got me rushing through...

One question i have is beside the relay there's an empty slot looks a mini fuse goes into. Am i missing a fuse? On the manual it stated somthing about diode. Not seeing any on the harness.

Do u guys know if im suppose to change the front diff oil after 500miles? Shop said no because the diff is not spinng when not in 4wd. I thought that only applies to manual hub?

Depends on who you ask....... if you stick a gopro under the truck and watch the driveshaft there's probably enough drag in the diff with the driverside CV to spin everything. It's unlikely to hurt anything if you don't, most people won't do 500miles in 4hi the entire time they own their trucks.

This true. The driver's side cv always spins the driver's side side gear. Typically the friction past the differential is high enough that the ring gear/pinion/driveshaft won't spin and therefore the spider gears in the diff spin on the cross shaft and the passenger side side gear rotates backwards with no connection to anything due to the ADD.

It is possible for friction levels to be such that the front ring gear/driveshaft will be spun some.

If the diff is locked in 2wd everything spins forward including the driveshaft but you're still disconnected from the pass side cv.

But everything is free spinning with no drive load so wear isn't really the issue, just the smidgeon of fuel mileage is what manufacturers care about.

Change your diff oil whenever you want.
