    Only the best.
True, the band clamps only work when the mating pipe is designed to be used with them. The first rock will drag the exaust clean off the truck. It will get put on, ive actaully been looking for small resinators to put in front of the muffler to help with any rasp. Ill run the resinator on the front section then weld the muffler on in place of the factory one. I have to get some junction pieces as well. Its at the top of the to do list. Want to make it nice enough to last for awhile. Eventually the truck will get a full turbo back exaust fully custom 2.5" into a 3.5" single axle dump. But thats a few years out lol.

Anyone have any recommendations on a sturdy and reliable hi lift jack or will I be alright with the Hi Lift brand one?

Anything not Hi Lift brand would literally be an off brand of a Hi Lift Jack. Hence “Hi Lift” lol.

only buy the hi-lift brand hi-lift

it’s a dangerous tool and there is no substitute. You can also get rebuild kits for them, and I’m not sure if they fit on the others.

Also, that adapter may or not fit other jacks....

Thanks for the info Trey. I know they call them farm jacks too and they’ve been around forever. I’m going to pick up a 48” when I get one.

I’ll hit you up for those parts. Gonna drill some holes in the front of my truck box to mount it.

I think farm jack is the general name for the “hi-lift”.

So anything that isn’t hi-lift branded is a farm jack.

It’ll be a good project for early on, but I wouldn’t do that as your first if that’s your plan. And I also wouldn’t do it on a welder less than 140 amps. The welds holding the jack in a vertical position with the weight of the truck on them are not something you want to break. There is a good bit of load bearing weight on those welds.

Do something that you can stress test without hurting yourself, someone else, or your truck for your first project.

Before they came out with the screw jacks, all the older cars had hi lift type jacks in them to change your spare. @JBTacoma remembers those!
