Not hating, just wish it was beefier. Mine has definitely taken some hits, and it shows.

Probably want to leave the sway bar at home. New suspension will be stiff enough you won't need it anymore anyway.

That's the second time i've heard that actually....

I'm going to keep it on for the next couple weeks at least. maybe the weekend i come down, i can ditch it and give it a whirl.
Usually it's me, the gf, and 2 dogs in the truck loaded down and i'm not sure i want the risk. :notsure:

What weight springs do you have? I'm being entirely unsarcastic about the shocks. Even with the weight of a steel bumper/winch on my front end, I could take corners pretty aggressively on 700# springs without significant body roll.

I believe they're like 700lbs for the coilovers and about the same for the rear. I have a steel bumper, winch, and dual batteries up front. In a couple weeks i'll also have full 3/16" steel skids.

I'll baby into it and find out :)

Yeah give it a whack and see if you like it. You get better articulation offroad but if you hate driving it on road it will ultimately lead you to sell the truck for a Raptor. Pros and Cons.

Shoot me a PM with your name and arrival/departure days please.

Sounds like you put in some serious work! Hope you had help or made someone else do it lol!
This. All swaybars, after real suspension mods do nothing but inhibit your truck's ability.

You should've just geared the Taco, if it wasn't for needing more interior space.

You did keep your radio setup(s) and anything else that was easily removed, right? We should've swapped those baller ADS with one of 3 sets of suspensions I have in the garage. Among many other things.

Well I pulled CB beforehand and gave Matt his radio back. Still on team handheld HAM. Probably order a permanent HAM for Blue

Finally ordered a CB antenna, bracket, and cable so I can install the radio that @mwc273 sent me several ages ago.

I'm happy with handy HAM. The somewhat overpowered units (for handhelds) we have are quite adequate for most things we do. My boosted CB is equally as amazing, squashes stock units!

No problem. I'd just like to get a somewhat complete list to them at least a week before.
I fully expect ~5 people to back out in the next couple weeks. Happens every time, at every meet across TW.

Be sure whatever you mount the antenna's bracket to has a solid ground. Or run an independent ground cable from it. My bracket has its own ground because it's painted which is mounted to another painted/coated surface.
Also, run the radio as direct to battery as possible. This cuts down on interference.

Someone probably needs to bring a SWR meter if the radio doesn't have a built-in.

THIS! Definitely want the antenna very well grounded. I’m wired straight to battery and still get to much interference. Guess that’s the price I pay for running a big radio

Any coils in the cable to/from antenna? Running parallel to active power cables on the frame for more than, say, 10'?

I'm running this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-CB-RAD...NNA-BLACK-18FT-COAX-MOUNT-SPRING/172533562117 but with a different mount bracket. 18' of coax was just enough to go from the driver tail light/bed corner and into the center console in front of my shifter. No coils.
