I just got the TRD Sport with the premium package. Did you notice with the running boards that you have to duck to get into the truck ?

 

Big time. They’re great for my 5’ tall wife but I’m too used to hopping in without using them.

Do you ever regret the truck top tent when you have to pack up just to make a beer run?

Those with OEM roof racks and MGM DC, how happy are you with the look and the functionality of the racks? I've contemplated it myself, not sure yet what I want. We have a yakima skybox which is nice for extra gear storage but with a truck I already have pretty good gear storage. Then there's the whole lumber-carrying part but that might be better served with bed racks. Last there's the roof racks for side/front/rear flood lights which seems awesome but requires the extra steps of running wire, switching systems, and you can't easily clean the paint under the roof rack.

From what I see in these photos, the OEM roof racks look pretty nice on MGM...

 

So far it hasn't been a problem.
To find a decent camp you gotta get pretty far out on the trail. The mtns are packed this year.
We bring everything we need for the duration of the adventure.
But the tent folds up really easy too.
Maybe 10 minutes to put it away..

 

Nice. Everyone is getting more into the outdoors with the COVID craziness going on. I do dig your setup, and thanks for the info.

 

Wait for the wave of second hand sale items from those that decided the ‘outdoor life’ wasn’t for them.
