Just like the title says. I need a full size spare. I know they fit under the truck, but I see that as an issue for wheeling. My bed will be full with camping gear and mountain bikes.

I don't really want to cut the bed....... Who all makes a nice rear bumper with Swing-out that isn't a High Clearance.......

    Thanks in advance......

For wheeling the rear tire really isn’t an issue. It’s pretty tucked up behind the axle. Even with my HC bumper the bumper itself is basically still creating the departure angle.

I'm sure there are more out there- those were the first two that came to mind. I'm sure covid has something to do with the lead times.

Great looking truck! Hmmmm, to me it seems like having the tire underneath is an issue if it's a rear flat and block by debris on the trail..... Maybe I'm just over thinking.

Also, I really don't want to cut the body.

Not suggesting going with HC. Just saying that you may want to avoid the swing out and keep the tire underneath. It’s actually a disadvantage off-roading with a swing out because there’s more weight farther back and higher center of gravity (plus departure angle can actually be worse). Most people need the swingiut because they can’t fit a bigger tire underneath.

also, bring a bottle jack on the trail and debris underneath won’t be an issue.

Not to mention if you ever need to use your truck to bring a couch home, etc, you screwed yourself unless you took the swingout off ahead of time.

@Rockefelluh great point! I do have sliders and a Hi Lift, so getting it in the air to get the tire won't be a problem.... I really just don't want to cut the bed, but may get the balls!!!!

@Gunshot-6A great point!!!! in a 5 foot bed, I've driven with the tailgate down countless times. Removing the snug top would be a big enough pain....

@Rockefelluh you really got me thinking now.... I don't see me re-gearing, so a 285/75/17 will likely be the largest tire I got with...... Hmmmmmm

You're probably gonna want to re-gear with that tire size. Ask me how I know ;)

Most people I know want to regaear at that size. If stock and no added weight might be fine. But adding armor you should expect you may want to regear.

also, 285 will fit underneath. Will likely need to bend the tabs or cut them off. But really minor changes.

@Rockefelluh I actually have the 285/70/17 RidgeGrapplers on it now and at 75 it's a shifting mess...... didn't plan on factoring gears into the build, but it will have sliders and some other armor.....

    You’ll need a regear

There's this too, if you dont want to replace your bumper. Replaces your tailgate to a swing out version with a spare tire mount.

    Subjective.

I have the same 285/70/17 RidgeGrapplers, front bumper (aluminum), rock sliders, high clearance rear bumper with swing arm. I don't have a need or want to regear on 33s. 35s yes, but not these 33s.
