Wouldn’t your can just be transferred to another FFL dealer until you’re able to pick it up?

Considering my best friend is my FFL and SOT I believe this scenario is highly unlikely

This or ATF would push the paperwork through faster because they have to give notice of shutting down

In the case I was talking about, it was the ATF that shut down the gun shop. Agents came in and shut them down. They were open one second and closed the next, not really any time to give notice to customers. Not sure how things worked out as far as peoples regular transfers being mailed to them, and the class 3 stuff they were holding for people till their stamp came in.

The shop is back in business, but with a new owner.

    so update.

I resubmitted my form without changing anything. I did include a typed letter with my CC info in case they couldn’t read my handwriting. CC charge popped up and cleared just a few days ago, so hopefully it doesn’t put me at the back of line lol! But at least it went through.

What company did you buy from?

I bought a 9mm solvent trap with the booster from Quietbore the same day I submitted my form 1.

Got the form 1 back in 17 days. Quietbore had on their site shipping times was 2 to 3 week, so I figured I'd get the form and the trap within a couple days of each other.

Emailed Quietbore after 3 weeks was up. They said they were just getting the mid June orders shipped. Sucks to have the stamp, and possibly have to wait another month to get the damn trap.

Bought them off a dude on Reddit. He's got a few more left in stock but he doesn't have a website just yet. He's in HI and gtg. Aluminum 6075 heat treated with Stainless Steel caps

This is my suppressor nightmare, wanting to get some input from you guys on what to expect.
I went into the gun store (excellent reviews everywhere online) to purchase my first suppressor. The first thing I noticed is they were very busy, lots of customers. It was January 11th 2020. I decided I’d better go ahead and get one before November, or at least have a good head start on my paperwork. I wanted the YHM Turbo T2, they were not in stock at the store’s supplier, but the turbo K was. I decided to get the K instead and paid the store in full right then and there. They said it would take 4 or 5 days to get the suppressor, in the meantime I was given fingerprint papers and instructions on what all I needed to fill out a form 4. I got all of that done in the next few days. No word from the gun store in a week, so I called them, they gave me a generic answer that it was not in and sometimes it takes longer to get it transferred to them. I said ok, I’ll have to wait a little longer. The next week, same generic answer, as well as the week after that.
Finally after three weeks I decided to email the manager of the gun store and asked if he could look into what was going on. He replied to me that somehow my order didn’t go through and now the Turbo K was out of stock. The Turbo T2 was then back in stock and he asked if I’d rather have that can instead at the same price as the K, I said sure. The price difference was to cover them dropping the ball somehow. A few days pass and finally they get the suppressor in the store. I filled out the paperwork and gave them a bank check made out to the ATF for the tax stamp on February 18th 2020. So my wait had finally started.....

I was on Facebook a few months later and YHM had posted a photo of a box of suppressors shipping out, and they asked how long the ATF wait times were going. Someone posted what day they were on and included the date the check to the ATF cleared the bank. Others replied stating that the average was 30 days after submitting the paperwork that the check cleared. I called my bank, and my check had not been paid.
I happen to know someone who works part time with the ATF, but doesn’t have anything to do with tax stamps, but he said he would call someone he knew and find out how I could check on the progress. I needed the serial number of my suppressor, which I didn’t have. I called the gun store to get it, they were very polite and said sure, hold for a second and let me get it for you.
Then the gun store manager picked up the phone. My original form 4 and all of my paperwork was still wrapped around my suppressor in the damn safe. WTF!?!?! My paperwork was finally sent to the ATF on May 28th 2020. It took nearly 6 months for my damn paperwork to ever leave the gun store! Mad as hell, doesn’t really come close to how I was feeling. The manager told me to come into the store and they would make it right. They gave me a Magpul D60 free of charge...for them dropping the ball again. Today’s date is September 5th 2020, and my damn bank check for the tax stamp has yet to clear the bank!!!! It is posted on the check void after 180days, that time has come and gone. I’m not 100% sure they even have my paperwork yet!!! The check will still be paid when they try to deposit it, according to my bank. They said that I can go into the bank and get a refund for the check after 180 days, but that’s not what I want, I want it to clear. They said as long as I leave it alone it will be paid when it’s deposited. What do you guys think of my suppressor purchase? I’m not thrilled, not even a little.

Yeah, no kidding! I don’t know what to do. I’ve basically been told there’s nothing I can do, but wait more. I’m not a very patient person to begin with.

I'd have looked for a nice stainless 5.56 solvent trap kit.

Then you could file an eForm 1 instead of a form 4.

I've sent off 3 form 1's since June. First one took 23 day, second 2 took 17 days.
