MESO Interior Chrome Delete Kit

Mine did that at first. I fixed it by clicking the hinged side in first then the rest of the handle.

 

I thought the same. The back part isn’t fully seated. I used a little trim remover tool to push it in when opening and it seated it

 

Let me try that. All of the handles are doing it though.

Just reinstalled and it’s the same. If you push it in flush (the handle) you can see it’s pushing back on the outer trim ring of the handle surround. I think this is just the result of an extra few mils of thickness at that location.

 

This worked for all except the drivers door. I got a snap while pushing on them with the pry tool. Thanks for the tip!

 

Mine were doing that. I jusy kept messing with em then it was like they snapped into the right spot

 

Anyone having issues with the handles not closing, please make sure the rear latch gets fully locked into place. Sometimes just slipping the cover on and pushing the back won;'t fully engage it... Thus making it stick out and interfering. These Blackout covers were designed with VERY tight tolerances so they have to fit perfect. Also, there is not a lot of wiggle room around the stock handle, and we are adding thickness on top of that. I tested these on multiple vehicles before going into production.

First, verify that the catch is not deformed or bent. This is the one I am talking about;



Then, Once its slipped over the stock handle, the rear latch is very hard to press because it's "tucked" behind the door panel. I found using any type of flat tool to reach in and press it works perfect. You could also wedge something in there and manually push the handle until it sandwiches and locks for you. Here's a pic;


Once they are properly seated, there should be no interference and when fully closed they sit flush/touching the door panel handle surround;




Now...for you OCD people, I have found a few instances where the OEM door handle had a lot of slop/play in it. They were higher mileage trucks with a lot of use, or they Yank the handle like hulk all the time. It would lightly rub on the inside bottom edge. Not a big deal as you will never see it(tucked under the handle) NOR does it affect function. The handle still has enough spring to fully close. Other trucks don't even come close to rubbing... your mileage may vary.

Mine were doing this as well. I ended up not using a trim remover tool and just reinstalled them working backwards like you did. Worked much better this way.

Is your mirror knob black instead of chrome?

 

You have to keep sliding the handle back and forth until you hear a “click” sound. That means is secured from the back of the handle.
For some reason, the rear passenger door gave me the most trouble lol

 

i checked his site. Didn’t find it.

 

2020 has the shiny black ring, not chrome.

Installed my @MESO black door handle covers - perfect fit and look great. Just used a trim tool to ensure the back edge is seated properly. Pretty much no chrome left on the interior.

Yea the order comes with two just in case u screw up I did not know this and ordered another

 

I like the orange sticker. I got a grey one that is the exact same grey as my cooler.

 

My door handle covers are still stuck in Yuba city, California. Wow USPS sucks.
