I finally got around to swapping out my chrome grille. Picked up a black painted one I will eventually paint to match.

I installed some raptor lights, replaced interior dome lights with LEDs and license plate frame lights with LEDs.

Gave Hank a bath and finally got around to painting and installing my brackets I fabricated to close the gap on my awning and road shower. Looks way better and now my awning is overhanging a foot.

I installed the Cali Raised LED premium rack with 360° lighting and an LED light bar. (Not seen in photo because wind fairing is up)

I also tried to take him out this weekend off-roading but COVID has the trails closed so maybe in 4 week I can.

Oh, and I picked up some rotopax containers to mount once I get the brackets and I ordered a hilift bracket as well.

been a solid weekend for sure!

Attempt to make my own mounting bracket for my ultragauge. Went to get some bolts and nuts to screw on the bracket while the ultragauge was hanging from the mount. I closed the door on the gauge and the screen broke

btw anyone want to sell their ultragauge?

Hello West Palm beach located 1UZ-FE swap new friend........ I so am going to do this swap in the future..... I had a Chevy V8 in my FJ40 in highschool (Yeah, very, very stupid of me to have sold that rig after college) and I desire to have a V8 again.
Nothing would be better than keeping it all in the family with the Lexus product vs a LS swap, but i've not found many- much less in Florida.... completed - so i'm very curious to know how this has gone for you? I may need to PM for info....

Thanks if you look in the pic with the shifter you can see the boot sitting on the seat. I just haven’t fitted it up yet!

 

It's going good I'm getting close to dropping it in. I rebuilt the engine from a bare block as well as went through the whole harness. There's quite a few that show up in the local junk yards as well as ls400 go for pretty cheap as donor cars. Message me any questions you have.

 

Finally got my color matched grill surround in and just had to install it about 5 seconds after UPS delivered it.
