How long are you going to keep the truck. My shocks were toast after 50k, so I replaced them with Fox 2.5. So you always can upgrade down the roadand possibly save money. In terms of ride quality, small bump absorption and overall comfort will be better on the pro. However you will sacrifice some handling, slightly more body roll and slightly more nose dive when breaking. The trd exhaust on the Pro also pairs nicely with the MT if you care about the sound of your truck.

in all honesty i would not let the included shocks determine my choice of truck. that is the easiest fix ever and you can do it cheap or go all in for whatever qualities in the ride you prefer. the Fox units are pretty decent and by far the best ride in the lineup if that's a focus.

Does the Sport come with the rear sway bar or no?

    this and that...
grill and wheels is available ala carte via dealer or reputable vendors. theres vendor here who sells a pretty solid replica of the new pro wheels in 17" vs 16" that peeps seem to like, and a few other vendors here carry the pro grill so just some info to look into.

No. No 3rd Gens get a rear SB. In the past, it was only the Xrunner, I believe?

Hmm. Trying to decide between a sport or pro? That's like trying to decide if you want a diet coke or a fancy coke zero. You really deserve the original coca cola though. Just do it and get the offroad ;)

In Canada there are 2 manual options, 4x4 access cab with long box or double cab Pro with short box. This would make you decision easier.

In the US there is a few price steps between Sport -> Off Road -> Limited to Pro. If you didn't fall in love with the hood scoop you probably be happy with an off road in manual.

EDIT: and the manual double cab Sport is available too.

Like someone else said above, go test drive them and that will give you your answer better than any of us goons can. As for looks, you can make a Sport look like a Pro for a hell of a lot less than they're marked up for.

X2. I love it on the curvy mountain passes, handles beautiful.

Just gotta go slower when offroad, especially on FSRs.

It works beautiful on my sport, holds you for about 2 seconds, then releases the brakes. We have a shitload of hills and it does save the clutch a bit. I mean, i would be totally fine without it, but a neat feauture to have at times.

This is relatively accurate. However, OP stated Manual so no crawl control.

Could also get DC sport with 6MT. I had to get that since no DC offroad offered in MT here.

    Skid plate. Running boards.
The sport-tuned suspension on the sport is tuned for the road and highway/street driving.

That being said you still see lots of sport models lifted and outfitted for off-roading. They’re still very capable Offroad. The 4WD system will work very hard to limit loss of traction by brake simulating limited slip diffs.
