Mastercraft? Still not ready to go back to Cooper. The grip was awesome, just didn't like the other issues I had with them (and I'm pretty easy on tires overall).

 

update on 4runner. going to see it tonight after work. they are literally getting contacts from across the country for this thing lol

Fuck, my E rated Michelins are awesome. I'll buy this exact tire until they stop making it, which is hopefully never. They really help with towing the boat. And they have 45k miles on them and barely look different then when they were first installed. Spendy though.

 

I actually like the tires that came on this Ford. Absolutely hated the Michelins my last one had and got rid of them quick, but this came with Hankook Dynapro AT2s. They're quiet, look reasonably aggressive, and the traction in the rain and on loose roads has been awesome. If they hold up for a decent amount of miles (which is usually my struggle), I may even buy a new set when it comes time to replace them. I used to have Dynapro ATMs on my Tacoma and liked them other that they got super loud as they wore.



I don't think they'll do great in snow with no mountain/snowflake rating, but I bough 18" OEM wheels and sensors and am probably going to pick up some Nokians for winter use.

 

update, leaving work at lunch to go see this thing, wife saw the pics, likes it, ill put in an updated radio but fingers crossed im buying a unicorn tonight

Yup, I use mine all year round, and they have great traction!
Edit: I have 45k miles on mine, and they are at 9/32s, so about half worn down.

 

If it's on the Cape, check the frame! Some of those vehicles used as beach cruisers get chewed up by the salt water.

That's always what I've wanted for a second vehicle, but they're usually beat up or way too expensive to justify. That looks awesome and the price is very reasonable! Hope it works out for you.

 

Side note, was passed by (I don't boogy on the highway, whatever) a ford explorer ST - didn't know they made that looked it up they're like 55k+ good lord, that's similar to Raptor money!

 

Raptors have climbed higher than that now-days. $55k is more than I paid for my truck though, no way I'd have that kind of money dumped into an Exploder. What's interesting is it doesn't have a unique engine either, you can get the same engine in the Platinum but that one is pushing $60k...

 

Update. Didn't even drive it. Frame wasn't as good as I would have hoped. Body looks way better in pics as well. Next time I'm adimit about sending pics of frame. Drove an hour for nothing lol

Well that sucks, but is to be expected. I looked at probably 20 first gens and 15 FJ's before buying the ones that I did.
