Will definitely touch base with you. My friend just started riding too because his pops got a new bike. Would be fun to do a little group ride sometime. I used to ride street a lot when I was younger and fearless :bikewhoops:

Well, got an email that the 175mm 2021 Transfer was back in stock at WWC, ordered and it's already shipped, should be here by the end of the week. Cancelled my order with Jenson. Still can't understand how they didnt have even one in stock to send me in 4 months time and WWC seems to keep getting them in stock. Oh well.

Finally got around to logging back in. Just got back from a short and sweet trip from Brevard, really makes it hard living in FL.

Shit, I get depressed leaving Brevard and I'm going just down the mountain to Charlotte.

Have you tried the Perimeter trail, to Carr Canyon road, to Clark Springs, to John Cooper then lower Miller Canyon all as a loop? Its a bit of a ball buster but its fun starting at the Clark Springs trail. There is also some loops by the horse/rodeo arena on base. It is where they hold the Foray on the Fort XC race. There is also some trails, that shall not be named, off of Brown Canyon that head north once you cross the wash (not the pamona mine trail).

Nice man! Hopefully you get that real soon. Jenson has great service so it's weird they kept you hanging.

You might get a laugh - after installing my 2021 Transfer, I guess I didn't tighten one of the seat clamp bolts enough and lost one during the first ride. As it turns out, the post is so new that I can't seem to find spare parts anywhere. Fox told me to work with a LBS. LBS's said they can't order so talk to Fox. Meanwhile I ghetto rigged it with a spare bolt I had laying around. I did find one LBS in Austrailia that's willing to ship two bolts to my door for $90+....

Trance is the way to go for the $2-3k range if you can find one nowadays. They did just launch the 2021 versions with more travel so maybe it'll be easier to score.

Trance is an awesome bike. It will be hard to find right now. The nearest one to me in my size is 4 hours away.

My LBS said the 2021's may not be there until February with the supply chain issues.

I've done all of the above. In fact, the Miller-Cooper loop is the one I used as the shakedown ride for my new Spur. "Ballbuster" doesn't even begin to describe it. Here's how I would do so: "I hear you like rock gardens, so I got you some rock gardens to go with your rock gardens. All uphill." :D The climb on Carr Canyon Road was also boring, but not that bad. Clark Creek and Cooper would be fun by themselves, but I don't currently have anyone I could shuttle with. Doing so might solve the problem for that loop.

I've also ridden the stuff on base out by Wren Arena. It's ok, I guess. I was hoping for a little bit more since it's a NICA course, but it wasn't terrible.

As for Brown Canyon, I rode it last year and REALLY enjoyed everything over there. The downhill payoff riding clockwise was excellent! I've been told that a large portion of the loop was recently bought and became private property, though, so I haven't been back to check it out this year. Any chance you could send me some hints/details by pm for the best way to ride it now?

Yeah, its a 9hr drive back to Tampa - and the whole way back is questioning how we can get back sooner.
