How bad was the fog light? Did it actually break it? Or just knock it out

    Ouch! Dang.
Only reason I ask is because I had the similar situation once with a PVC pipe fitting that fell off a truck a couple months back, and I thought it broke my fog light, turns out I just needed to pop it back into place, hopefully thats the same story for you, it may have just been knocked out of the clips holding it behind the bumper

I’ve taken it to Corpus twice. Headwind both times and same 3k for the last hour of the drive about 65mph. I’m no Motörhead but from everything I read I’m not worried about it and will gladly do it again and again

I believe every 30k for a drain and fill using WS fluid. I went with valvoline.

Ya it was nerve racking as I was towing. Filled up in Pleasanton and as soon as I crossed the last bridge I had to fuel up again.
3rd gens don’t have the same schedule.

I had no clue fwiw this was the first one since I’ve own the truck it was done at 148k. While it was old fluid but wasn’t burnt, dirty, and I had no shifting issues but it’s shifting a little smoother however.

But its funny yall are mentioning it tranmy fluid. Last week i ordered all the stuff to flush my wife's volvo xc90 tranny. Its recommended every 40k and i plan on doing it a little sooner. The volvo is a little easier since there is a drain plug where u can drop it. Just a repetitive process since u drain and fill twice. But its better than paying 600 dollars at the dealer to do it...

Blood work, man. Nice quick trip.

ATF sounds like blood work, doesn't it. Second gen 1.0 manual:

    AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (5−speed)
    Fluid capacity (drain and refill),
    L (qt., Imp. qt.):
    Up to 3.0 (3.2, 2.6)
    Fluid type:
    Toyota Genuine ATF WS
    Change automatic transmission fluid only
    as necessary.
Generally, it is necessary to change
automatic transmission fluid only if your
vehicle is driven under one of the Special
    Operating Conditions listed in your
    “Scheduled Maintenance Guide” or
    “Owner’s Manual Supplement”. When
    changing the automatic transmission fluid,
use only “Toyota Genuine ATF WS” (ATF
JWS3324 or NWS9638) to aid in assuring
    optimum transmission performance.
    Notice: Using automatic transmission
fluid other than “Toyota Genuine ATF
WS” may cause deterioration in shift
quality, locking up of your transmission
    accompanied by vibration, and ultimately
    damage the automatic transmission
    of your vehicle.

Maintenance guide suggests inspection of fluid at 30K intervals. Doesn't mention replacement up to 120K, which is as far as it goes. That said, I have no service record indicating mine has been anything but inspected. Coolant first, that was done at 162K. Then, I will get to the trans.
