Any shop can do a simple patch. Discount Tires? Big-O? Les Schwab? etc. etc.

At this point the way I have been treated I’m requesting a new wheel. But feeling like I’m gonna get the shaft. We shall see.

I would most definitely be requesting a new wheel!! Those aren't cheap. If it was your own doing off-road, well such is life.. But in this case, due to workers negligence and not taking the extra care, then yea, it's on them.

Just got my Cooper's installed today and couldn't be happier. I found so much value in this thread while I was trying to decide, I thought I would share as well in hopes of helping the next undecided buyer. I'm running 275/70/17, and YES they did rub. All I had to do was remove the front mud flaps though and everything was fine. Also, those are the Level 8 Slam wheels.

There is no 275/75/17 size listed on cooper's website. Did you get 275/70/17? I assume no lift, so that would be expected that they would rub from my understanding.

I have a second gen Access cab with the same size tire and mine rubbed as well but just on the front mud flap. Great size looking wheel and tire combo !

I keep my tires at 30 like the door jamb and they don't ride too terribly any more. Noticeably stiffer than my stock SL Goodyears but not rough like a dump truck as they were around 34-36 psi.

These are all older posts but I wanted to post an updated observation. I tried lowering mine to 32F/30R for a while. I was at 36F/35R. I couldn't tell much of a difference in feel but my MPGs definitely dropped. The most I could maintain driving Miss Daisy was maybe 16 mpg. But when I drove it like I like to, 13 was my average, and I noticed more noise and honestly, I didn't notice that much change in comfort. So I went back up to 36F/35R and again my MPGs went back up. If I really hypermile it I can pull almost 19 mpgs. I'm still amazed how smooth and quiet these tires are. As far as comfort goes. I am just not sold this will ever feel like my Lexus sedan.

So far, at least on my work truck (F250) I haven't been terribly pleased with the Discoverer. They started out fairly quiet and smooth. However, they developed feathering within the first 5k miles. Even rotating them front to back and having them rebalanced didn't help. I rotated them again today by switching the sides they were on, changing up their direction of rotation. This smoothed the shimmy back out, but now they are very loud. Before, the shimmy was so bad that the truck would spontaneously develop death wobble, without hitting a single bump or crack on the road. Off-road traction has also been a bit disappointing, especially in soft sand where they hop terribly, though, I haven't gotten stuck.

The other two trucks in my fleet that I've put them on so far (2013 Tacoma and 2016 Frontier) have not developed the issues I'm experiencing, so maybe it's just me asking too much out of these tires on a Super Duty. On my truck, they seem to be wearing very quickly. I'm not expecting them to make it to 30,000 miles.

Bulk order through American Tire Depot, but they were essentially shipped to me straight from Cooper.

Yea, I was kinda hoping for some obscure place that had them sitting in stock for a longer period of time. That definitely sux. I had a set of Duratracs like that. Seemed off from the beginning but I didn't think hard about it and then later regretted it. Good luck. I would definitely continue crossing the fronts to the rears and moving the fronts forward. I fell like even though that's an older radial tire method it helps.

I ordered the Discoverers this time around because every Duratrac on every vehicle they were put on did this. Currently, it's only my truck they are feathering on. Hoping it stays that way because I still have 48 of them in my store room.
