I like them so far took about 10 minutes to install and they open the hood a bit further then the prop rod. Well worth the 75 bucks or so and no drilling.

Thanks for the report on these, sounds like they fit rather tightly and well. I'll most likely end up ordering in some myself.

I did check them out. Down to only one side in black w the Parking assist hole. They were a bit cheaper though, thanks.

You and me both, I'd like to retire some time this century.
Besides, if I remember correctly me and speed had a rough couple of goes back in the day that didn't turn out real well.

Finally made some bigger changes to the truck in the couple of weeks.

Changed out the stock tacoma limited grill for an after market trd pro with the Raptor lights.

Upgraded the wheel from the stock 18 in to 17 in 4 runner trd pro sema wheels and upgraded to BFG Ko2 265/70r17 tires.

I'm pretty happy how it's coming along. This forum is murder on the savings tho.

Got an OVTune installed today by @Shellshock. Definitely a worth while investment for the manual transmission.
Instantly noticeable power difference, 2nd gear is by far the best improvement. It has constant power throughout opposed to before where there was nothing until you got up to 3500 rpm.

And at the other end of the spectrum I got my wheels today and of course one was defective. The hub flange for the lug nuts was machined 1.5mm thinner than the others so it can't fully tighten down because the lug nut shank is too long. And to top it off they were the last ones in stock so they might not even have a replacement.

I actually had to re-flash the Rough Country speedometer calibrator because programming 4:88 gears made the speedometer off by like 20 MPH because, apparently, speed is read at the tires... :notsure:

I also slapped the Goat Armor on the truck.

    In progress.... And getting better!
Congrats and welcome to the OVTune family! You’re gonna really like it. Now there’s really something above the 3500 rpm mark and more power to get you there. Way to help a brother out @Shellshock.

Bummer to hear about your wheels. Best of luck with that one.

At least with the OVTune you got power to your stock stickers while you work out the wheels.

Is your 3rd brake light black? I have the 100xq, and the brake light surround is silver. It just doesn't match.
