Many years later, but did you figure out the problem? I got the same.

Wow, that was some time ago, and last December I sold the truck. But, for this vehicle this was the last code(s) I had to track down. Turned out to be a bad VSV valve on the evap circuit. I went around and checked them for positive function with a 9v battery. They all clicked open or closed when tested, except the one on the driver's side wheel well. I forget the particular circuit involved, but I was able to find the Denso VSV online somewhere (https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=6313929&cc=1418442&jsn=1).

After 4 1st gens, I moved to a 2nd gen, TRD Off Road with a replaced frame. All the 1st gens had bad frames (2 buy backs, 1 replaced, and 1 out of warranty). So I had had enough of that. Already done a ton of work on the 2nd gen - suspension, brakes and a bunch of small stuff the prior owners did not fix.

It would be helpful to add your Tacomas specs to your profile.
Then start a new thread because this one is old and all over the place repairs wise.
