I took the paint code and went to an auto paint shop. They mixed me up some on the spot.

The duplicolor toyota MGM spray cans weren't close enough for me. I could see the differences too much.

Hopefully I'll get the sliders put on today but I'm digging the clean look without the Predator steps.

I think this is my first time seeing this badass truck. Where can I follow along on the build progress?

Haha thanks man I appreciate it!! My build thread is here but I haven’t updated it in a WHILE. If you have an Instagram, I recently started a truck specific one @whineytaco , I’m slowly kinda going over the build since I got it on there!

I got a couple quarts. More than I needed. I used a paint gun sprayer thing hooked up to an air compressor and made a plastic sheeted paint room in my garage. I would ask the paint shop to recommend an amount depending on the object painted and application method. They can also sell you primer and clear coat. My shop gave me a lot of advice on how far away to stand while spraying, how many coats, drying time, and how to mix the paint.

I made my own satoshi grill. Being a 2015 I couldn't just cut the inner grill and attach it for the look I wanted. I ended up cutting all of the inner plastic out at the grill connection and made my own skinny grill lips from bondo and fiberglass plus a lot of hand sanding. In the process I fucked up the surrounding grill. So I sanded it down and repainted the entire thing. Screwed up the paint a few times and sanded it all down each time starting over from scratch. It was a lot of work but now it is where I want it and held up for a couple years.

Photo below shows satoshi grill i made, little skinny lips on grill surround, and MGM painted grill surround. It came out pretty damn close. 20200515_181438.jpg

I used to have a Silver Streak Metallic but I sold it....and bought a Magnetic Grey Metallic.. Im happy with the exchange
I can finally contribute to this thread now.

    When I first got it.

    And after some mods....

    Interior pics:

Crappy picture, but the camo theme runs throughout the interior..my favorite part about my interior. Can you tell which part?

I decided to make a build thread instead. So for more pictures on this build. Come here. Thanks!
