They have logistical lots in more places than their vending machines where the flatbeds can come from. I got told on the phone by them when I scheduled pickup for my car that they are so flooded right now with people selling that they are contracting with local tow companies for pickup after they take possession.

I was curious - because of my mileage...I have 67K miles, offered 24,483 (25,646 on trade).

Not having to sit in a dealer for 4 hours and deal with DA salesmen and managers comes at a premium. Doesn't surprise me when the population would rather pay 200% for food through uber eats, etc. Then just take a 10 min drive.

They will send tow truck out within 100 miles to pick up your car, if you are further then 100miles. You have to drive it to your closest drop off location.

Mine went up about $300. They are offering me $24,981 for a truck that I paid $25,536 for almost two years ago. Straight out buy, not a trade in. Would probably pull the trigger and drive my beater Saab this winter, but I can't schedule a pick up since I'm too far away and Carvana doesn't have an outlet in my state.

I live 120 miles east of St. Louis and they told me I would have to bring my truck within 50 miles of a city or town in Missouri. I'm guessing one of the burb's. I would just drive it on to them if I sold mine. I would trade with them anyhow. If they can get me a new Baby Ranger next year.

Interesting to see a number of trucks being sold to Carvana. I assume that the high offers are due to high demand and low supply. Which means that the new Tacomas will be also overpriced (assuming one is upgrading), so any extra cash from Carvana would be lost in the new deal? If that's not the case, how is Carvana making any profit?

fortunately for me, there is no new deal. It was more of an extra driver for us. Cash is going into other projects for our house.

This is intriguing, but as someone else mentioned, looking at the inventory of 5 different dealers in the area, there are very few 2020 models available, and none that would have what I want. (OR MGM)

Dealers have everyone duped into believing that it is inevitable that you are going to lose your shirt on a trade-in. I got $3000 more than kbb trade in value from the dealer when buying my 2020 and trading in my 2016(during pre-high demand April) and $2500 more than trade-in value for my 2011 when I bought my 2016. While still getting 8% and 15% off MSRP respectively. It’s all negotiable.

Sold one of my cars to them. Was a great experience and i would do it again. I got maybe $500 less then KBB, but it was definitely 100x easier, and I didn't have to meet 50 people who then offer $5k less.

I would post it on craigslist for $2000 more than Carvana is offering with a screenshot of the Carvana offer and say at the end of the week this is what I’m doing. Carvana will list for probably 3 or $4000 more. Don’t bother if you’re not going to offer significantly more on Carvana. If it works, great. You get an extra $2000. If not you sell it to Carvana at the end of the week.

Wow! Out of curiosity I went to the Carvana website and put in my info (2016 TRD Sport, 44500 miles). Got an offer for $29,500.
I’m not doing it because I love my truck and don’t really want to start over, but this is an amazing offer. I bought it for $32,800 4.5 years ago.

Carvana offered me 29,500 for my 2018 with 52k miles. Swung by carmax on my way home after doing errands and they offered me 32k

Thanks to this thread on Tacoma World I no longer have a Tacoma. I bought mine in February with plans of road trips and some Camping during my 2 month break but all of my plans got cancelled because of Covid. I had no plans to sell it but the 2nd time they offered me $600 less than I paid after Tax, title, plates, Doc fee, etc. so I grabbed it. It had 2200 miles on it and was just sitting. If it was a Regular Cab I would've kept it as a backup DD but neither of us like driving something this big in the city. I was sad my Tacoma plans didn't work out but under $100 a month for 6 months including everything was well worth it. I had some fun drives with it. Carvana was solid all around. Be well everybody!

EDIT- My 2nd offer was $2,000 higher than the first. You just have to wait 7 days for the 1st to expire.

Dang. I was I my offered 25 for my offroad MT 2017 42k. If it was a little higher around 28, I would have taken the cash and ran. I guess I still have a Tacoma.

Buy the LED's for $1300, install it in the truck you already own, and call it good.

To add the adapters and crimpers added like $26 to the total. So for less than $1400 you can skip all the BS.

I added them to my '17.

Just checked my truck value. 27k for my 2017 and indicated I have a lift.

29k if I do not mark I have a lift.
