    Is there anything to gain from running a 35" tire tune if I only have 33s? It doesn't calibrate the speedo, so what's the difference in the tune field? So far I've just ran 04B02 Regular Stock THX 33 file. It's already a MASSIVE improvement over stock. After a tank or two of regular I plan to try Premium tune with thx. Huge difference between the two??

    It’s not a “requirement” but from personal experience, it’s worth the effort.

    i started off on 04b12 then 04b13 and now 04b14. Each one has been an iterative improvement and there have been some fixes from Toyota for limp mode conditions, etc. ovt can make the same tables but there are other code changes that are only possible by updating the ecu revision.

    If you're an automatic, the tire size changes should affect your shift points. The larger the change, the larger the shift point change.

    So just click the top link, flash my truck with that, then download the 0VB04 version of the OVTUNE and I'm golden? Do I need to flash back to stock 04B02 first, or can I proceed from my current tune?

    Clicking the link will not flash your truck. It is a download file for TechStream that you have to install and activate using the license key generator.

    Turn off all of your antivirus software before you open the ZIP file and until you have TS activated. The license key generator program gets flagged up, but is harmless.

    I always hear that you can do this yourself in 10 minutes. Were you able to get it done? How long did it take total from starting to download TS, asking questions and completing the update?

    If you have done this more than one time before and already had everything ready, I can see being able to do it in 10 minutes.

    I’ve done it multiple times. The update itself takes maybe 5 minutes (depends on the truck and the TSB)

    the first time i did it (8/2018) was under 20 start to finish including finding TS, figuring out how to install and configure it, finding the cuw files and flashing the truck.

    now everything is in one place and well documented thanks to @tonered so it cuts out all the searching i had to do 2 years ago. all the downloads are in one place and TS takes a couple minutes to install.
