Spendy don't matter if you can justify the cost. Different story but I paid about 600 for my Yokohamas last year, 80k tires and I drive 15K a year. What's hilarious is I got them last October at inspection time..since March I've put maybe 1200 miles on my truck. First oil change in forever (maybe ever in my 30 years driving) that I've had it done because I hit the time before the miles.

This. So many people who just need a kid mover and would be fine with a minivan plus get a lot better fuel mileage end up getting a SUV instead.

Its a fairly common practice for crawlers that are streetable or for beadlock wheels. They use balance beads or the cheaper route is air soft BBs

Generally speaking I'm not either, were it that that was done much more recently though I'd be tempted at least. To be fair, I'm dealing with some nightmares from a contractor who did some work a few years ago here. My pool deck is starting to sag and it turns out this guy never used any joist brackets underneath, just one nail from the longways joist to each floor joist and most of them are backing out..a couple are all the way out. From what I've recently learned, using brackets is Deck 101 so a licensed contractor damn well should know that.

We had a roof leak sometime this spring, same guy did the roof on that section around that time. So help me if I go up there and find he cut corners on that somehow, you guys better get me some bail money since I probably have to replace the weight room ceiling and hope no floor damage happened....

Thread came up on another forum, where do you guys attach your trailer break away cables to? Do you use the same loop that you connect the breakaway chains to or do you deliberately go somewhere else so the cable isn't attached to the same point as the chains or the ball mount?

Definitely. We had one as a rental in Portugal about 12-13 years ago. Thing was the balls. Kind of fun to drive.

Exactly why I'm waiting to make a move for a new vehicle. Just hope the GMC doesn't grenade before then.

I usually loop it around the hitch frame; it's easy enough to access there and it takes up a little of the ridiculous amount of slack most of them have.

The beads are added to the empty space inside the tire, where the air goes. They're not cast into the tire itself...And since the beads are inside a sealed space there's no moisture problems.
