I did manage to find this set of hot wheels at two different Walmart’s. They made two different colors of this vw for this set. Sometimes you have to buy the whole set to get the 1 car you want

Custom my buddy made. Hot Wheels 32 ford painted and real riders added. Engine swap and front grill and connected headlights are from a dodge something? Can’t remember. Anyway can’t see it from the picks but has a nice detailed interior. Including door panels.

I would either do a clear coat to show the natural wood, or paint it white.

@POOLGUY I just sanded and hung it haha. Now 5 more to go lol. I'll probably paint them all white once built. These on display are mainly hot wheels Wednesday cars of yesterday.IMG_20200816_180814_01.jpg

I think I would let it sit for a week to think about it. I don’t know what I would do. Paint, stain, clear coat. If I paint it, then what color? Do I paint the the back panel the same as grid? Maybe Hot Wheels blue? I really would like to make one of these but I don’t have the right tools to do it. In the end doesn’t matter what you do it will look great!! If you lived closer I would pay you to make me one.

After sleeping on it I think I'm going to complete all six for the wall in my hobby room before I decide. I also have to keep in mind my wife is redecorating the house. All new interior paint and she mentioned white, maybe a light gray. They might be fine leaving them natural depending on what color she goes with in here. I think it will look pretty neat having a wall of colorful hot wheels :)

Chrome reflective adhesive paper would look great on the back board next time. I find that in hardware stores.
Nice job. Wish I could do that.

#2 ready for sanding and final assembly. I want to return the table saw to my buddy though so 3,4,5 and 6 will have to wait. Also I'm out of material. I'm excited I was able to get 2 out of one sheet of plywood and one poplar board. Now if only I could remember my cut procedure to get that next time lol!
