Look for a dual band, 2m/440, in case you get a dual band radio in the future. Do you have your ham license yet?

Dammnn, I’m thinking if I move back to the mainland and tow a TT around the states, this is gonna make life easier. Might even be able to get a bigger TT, that’ll make the wife happier too.
    Win win...

Supposedly there's a way to do that... I haven't poked around with it a lot. There's a huge thread in the Audio subforum on that head unit.

    Thanks for sharing.
Did you happen to run a Dyno before the install? Are you planing on running a Dyno after? Any prep before the install or did you just slap it on?
I would love to see the before and after numbers in order to hold Magnuson to reported gains. Does it come with a tune? I know, a lot of questions, I'm not just blowing smoke, I'm on the fence for a pre order.

    A growing list of stuff
    Edit: @markgphoto

I am guessing that you added black vinyl to the third eye brake light on your Leer? I ordered up some red tint to cover mine, and I may add a black border around the edge if it doesn't look the way that I want when finished. I also have a lot of light bleed from the inside that you can see in the rear view. I plan to seal that up with a bit of black silicone so my rear view looks good while braking.

It's all about the details.... I already got up into the C pillar of the cab and cut the brake and dome light wires going to the third eye brake light on the truck so you don't get any shine in between the truck and the cap.....

It looks like you also vinyl'd or deleted the Leer logos as well. I am working out what I want to put on mine instead of their branding.

That's a good deal. Figure out where you will mount your antenna then check HRO, DX Engineering RandLradio, and Gigaparts for the best deals. Stay away from Amazon as they will be more expensive for the same products from the dedicated Ham radio folks. A good 2m antenna will be in the $30-$40 range. No need for a dual band as a dedicated 2m antenna will preform better and be smaller than a dual band. If you go dual band down the line, then just get a new antenna. If you stay in the hobby for awhile, you'll find your closet is full of antennas.

    In progress.... And getting better!
You can. Just have to purchase the VFTuner software. It lets you flash the truck of someone who has the same ECU as yours. If you wanna flash other ECUs you just need to purchase more credits. Check out the VFTuner thread. Search under

Yes, Terra Grappler G2. So far they seem to be as quiet or quieter than the Wranglers that were on it.

Hahah that makes sense! Though I didn't believe them, at all, when they told me about the deal I was getting till I checked here and confirmed that yep, it's good.

Still waiting on the part to come in :/ Got to enjoy the truck for 330km and now I am in some budget rental Nissan Micra that can barely carry my emotional baggage. Can't complain I guess as it's all paid for.
