Gotta pay to play. Adding power(Whether it's a supercharger, turbo, or any other power added) things can and will break. Toyota designed the truck for stock power values so increasing it over that will obviously prematurely wear or break other components. But i think the 25k is a LITTLE excessive.

I think that dumpy auto trans is probably a determining factor in how much boost it can take. I’m sure it’s not cheap either. I know our trans here for small four bangers new is like 5-7k

Yeah no one really knows as it hasn't been pushed to the limits in a 3rd gen yet. I guess we will find out soon enough! I think it's going to be axles or Diff.

Cool chat about the turbos, but let's keep it on topic. Magnuson Supercharger install at Down East Offroad.
We can talk about blowers vs spinnies in the Performance and Tuning subforum.

I agree. Just touching on the trade off's of more power being added to the 3rd Gen Tacoma. Superchargers included.

Magnuson is offering a driveline warranty for these kits for trucks up to 36,000 miles. So they fo stand behind the tune and power

I think the real weak link is the fuel system. I think magnuson wanted more but the system couldn't and they didn't want to make the kit 10 to add pumps and injectors

That's why LS swaps are so popular and the bouncers are pushing the edge hitting over 1000 hp to all 4 42" stickies (200+hp at the crank) high revving engines. Set things up right and you can have power and fun on the trails just don't stand behind that person on the trails.
