A popular refrain here is that the Ridgeline isn't a truck, so we're well past that.

    Hahahaha! I love these threads.

Just curious. What is a VW Rabbit with a bed? And, would that same term apply to the old Ford Couriers, Chevy LUVs, and such?

If the VW is a truck, what was the Brat? I believe it was designated a truck and would have been subject to the chicken tax without the coolest seats ever?

And then, what about the VW Type II with a bed? Certainly a truck in my mind.

    :D Fun thoughts.

What’s it take like 30 min to fill one tire?

I don't know about the ARB, but my Viair 300P filled our Forester tire from flat to 35.5psi in moments. I would expect similar?

That’s not bad. Just a shitty compressor from harbor freight takes me ~15 min to fill a tire from complete flat.

I have the same one too!
Filled so many road side flat tires.
    Best $70 spent.

I hear you there. I've been riding with the Slime Motosports pump. I've used it to seat beads after mounting tires and such. Takes forever. Probably the same chinesium guts as the HF?

I've been airing up and mounting tires with a 120cf scuba tank lately. Friggin' fast, but slightly bulky and the time between fillups has been decreasing a lot.

The last fill card ran out and I realized that a new fill card would be not much less than a nice Viair. I have been impressed with it doing airchecks at home, but it got its first real test on Monday. My wife thought that I was a hero in the Target parking lot, so I will go with that. :D

The only thing about the Viair is that it is not automatic shut off. I am working on a cheap mod for that versus adding another $100 for the automatic versions.

Considering the price and rep, I would say the ARB is probably similar?

Ye, I didn't even really know what it was actually worth until I searched it a month or two later when I recommended it to a friend. Told them it was cheap, woops

Got it from a guy that was moving out to a different State. Practically brand new, also came with an extra unused coiled hose with gauge.

Wondering if I can turn it into an onboard air compressor.

    Nice!

Yes, you can. The hard mounted ones are basically the same just with the foot plate removed.

Here's what I am working with for the automatic switch:
    http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=7865

I found a ton of switches on Amazon including a Viair version:
    https://www.amazon.com/Pressure-Switch-90-120-Compressor-120PSI/dp/B07XZ1FKYN

    https://www.amazon.com/VIAIR-90111-Pressure-Switch-Relay/dp/B000FQ793A

I already have a relay. Tough choice!

I made a mistake, I just took a look at my Viair, it is the 400P.

Nice set up, will starting looking into it.
Will the process be the same on a 400P?

Whoa! Even better deal. I believe the 400P is already automagic.

    Killer score.

Edit: It looks like there are two 400P versions. One is automatic and one is not. The neat part is that they can work on 12v or 24v systems.

    Good stuff.

If you're is not the automatic version, the pressure switch and relay setup would still be the same.
